11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Interchangeable knitting needles: Any good? on: November 10, 2007 11:39:41 AM
I just got my Knitpicks in the mail today, and the cables feel lovely, I know I'm not going to have trouble with the cables twisting up at all. I also ordered pockets to store mine, since I can't afford a full set.

12  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / lacy shawls? on: October 30, 2007 09:45:43 PM
I want to crochet a lacy shawl for  my mom for Christmas, and I like Muir from Knitty, but I'm nowhere near that skill level. In my crochet, though, I'm pretty confident.

So are there any nice lacy shawls out there for lace weight yarn in crochet? I've looked and it's a whole lotta mesh.
13  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: 2007 Costume Sewalong (All Costumes) on: October 04, 2007 09:11:02 PM
What kind of paint did you use? I'm planning something similar for my boyfriend, and I wanted some good makeup to give him a shiner.

My nail polish remover ends up removing the paper too, so i get a thin layer of paper over the transfer... odd.

17  New York / New York: Central / Re: Binghamton anyone...anyone...anyone???? on: September 13, 2007 04:47:48 PM
I'm in the university, but there only seems to be one crafting club on campus, and I don't craft like them, I'm more of a craft-rogue. They do theme nights, I think, and my thing is more to concentrate on my current craft obsession.
I wish I could join up with a craft group in bing.

It turns out there are three different stamps across the street from me in the cemetery! Wow~! I'm going to try to join in, maybe...
