This looks fantastic! I love the end result with the texture of the plaster and am so tempted to make one. Do you blog? Or have a website?
2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello from Oz on: March 23, 2017 08:46:22 PM
Hi there! I'm Jules from Australia.

I love painting, drawing, sewing, stitching, baking, sculpture, mosaicing, rug hooking, ceramics, polymer clay... lol anything and everything!

I'm addicted to craft books, if I don't have enough time to do everything I can read about it Wink

I also love blogging about my creativity journey, and I'm an illustrator and mama with all the oodles of time I have left... (Ummm... I'm thinking of giving up sleep to make more time Wink )

Nice to be here and I'm still navigating my way around.

I'd just like to ask members, what discussion boards here are your faves?

cheers  Grin

haha, I decided a little while ago that crafty stuff is messy!! You just have to walk in the door at a school that's preparing for a concert and costumes and sets are being made to see. It's just a messy pastime that needs lots of supplies!!
(Plus, I'm too busy making stuff to want to clean & tidy)

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / My arty/ crafty/ living the creative life blog on: March 19, 2017 03:44:40 PM
Hi! Smiley

I have a blog... I've started taking it seriously in the last year or so and I would love some feedback. I don't mind constructive criticism!

I'm wondering if it's interesting to read, and if it sparks people enough to want to come back to see what I'm up to.

I used to have a popular blog in the past, and I thought I would start one up again to see how it would go, but it's been really slow to gain momentum. I'm thinking ten years ago the whole online blogging thing wasn't as big as it is today and the whole community of it's changed too. it used to feel more personal and more like social media, like friends chatting. Now blogs seem to be less about comments and connecting but more about professional looking photos and everything.

Anyway, I love blogging about living the creative life. I'm an illustrator and I document our creative endeavours as a family, and also post creative book & product reviews and tutorials as well as my own craft & art work.

And if you leave a comment over on my blog I swear I will send you a virtual hug!! lol <3 (and please leave your own link so I can come visit you too).. I do love the online crafty community  Cheesy

Here's my link:

Cheers x

Isn't it a fantastic feeling when we finally finish projects that have been in the pipeline for years! I know the feeling of having lots of UFO's lying around, well done! Smiley

I know this is an old post but I came across it and thought it was still awesome today!
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: where is your craft space? on: March 19, 2017 02:21:39 AM
The whole house Lol!
I actually do have a studio but decided it was too small so moved my sewing machines to the guest room. I still do most of my painting and crafty stuff in there but I also have paintings I'm working on in the lunge room , plus craft projects covering the couch so I can do them whilst watching tv Smiley
10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Re: Adult "Play" night at a friend's art studio on: March 19, 2017 01:43:39 AM
That is such a great idea and I've never heard of something like that before where I live! Set times and places yes, but not open invites to come and art "play".

I love that and I love how she calls it play too.

You can see the fun through your collage Smiley
