1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Yarn Subs for "Hurry Up Spring Armwarmers"? on: December 12, 2006 09:27:00 AM
I think you can use pretty much any worsted weight yarn for these.  I have been knitting them up like crazy.  I have used the New England Highland Wool and Cascade Cloud 9 for them.  They've all turned out fine.  good luck!

My friend wants me to make her a little knitted bonnet.  But, I can only find baby patterns.  Any ideas for adult bonnets?

That makes me sad.

It was a long time ago...I worked there during school from 1995-1996 and then again in 1999 for a little while.  The lady who used to work there, Marie, was awesome.

8  UNITED STATES / West Virginia / Re: WVU in the Wintertime? on: May 22, 2006 12:48:37 PM
My husband went there.  It's cold there in the winter time, but not all that much colder than in MD.  It does snow there more often though.  He said it's basically just grey....I would knit some warm things in bright colors to cheer you up on the gloomy days!

Have a great time in Morgantown.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where to buy yarn online on: May 22, 2006 08:57:58 AM
I have bought yarn from www.elann.com and www.knitpicks.com

Knitpicks has really nice yarn, for cheap.  I have bought the shine and the crayon for knitting baby blankets.  And, if you order over 30 dollars worth of yarn, the shipping is free!

I ordered some yarn from elann, and I like it also.
