OMG! I feel all warm & snuggly just looking at these. I swear I just pinned a similar pattern for a future project.

They look GREAT!!!

I've done this before, but with magazines/wrapping paper. (instead of hot glue, used tape)

I love the ribbon. So pretty.

These are soooo freaking cute! I'm trying to do some last minute ornaments (cause I suck at planning ahead), these ideas may end up in my collection.

So I took an old sweater dress, decided it needed to be more fun & it became an awesome Penguin Dress.

I got a 5X tank top (just to make sure I would have enough 'fabric') from Walmart (for $1), for the body. I cut and sewed both sides together, then added the other details.

Cut eyes from a black t-shirt's sleeve, I had left over from another project.

Then I crocheted the nose.

Most of the dress was hand sewed on, but I was able to use a sewing machine to attach the top & bottom of the body.

It was a big hit at my office Christmas party and is now my favorite dress  Grin

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Paint Night on: November 11, 2016 06:14:33 AM
I finally sat down and had a paint night with my mom (who's an Art teacher).

It was so relaxing. I haven't painted in years and it felt great to do it again.

I'm so looking forward to many more paint nights!!

Here's the original image we painted:
