1  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Discussion and Questions / Dyeing Linen Coat? on: September 28, 2016 03:22:23 AM
Hello!

I'm desperately looking for some advice. A couple of years ago I was given this very unusual coat and I've decided I'd like to make it wearable finally.

I think the material on the outside is Linen and the material on the inside is cotton. The pattern on the inside is lovely and I'd like to keep it but the pattern on the outside really does not suit me. I was wondering if anyone would know of a way I could dye the outside material Black and keep the inside the same. There is also some embroidery on the sleeves.
If anyone could help me that would be amazing!
