I am a bit behind on commenting, I'll catch up shortly. Just wanted to get this in under the wire.

Prompt:  Battle Royale September: The Nightmare Before Christmas
Team:  Multimedia
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: Jack Skellington Bear
Project Link: -
Brief Description: I have been on a bear kick lately, since I fiiiiinally finalized the pattern to the point I'm happy with, and when I saw the BR prompt, I knew straight away what I was going to do. I changed a couple of things along the way (like the hand painted pinstripe effect) but overall I think it's recognizable as a bear version of Jack, so I'm happy!

SBC, I LOVE your TARDIS, too! It is so perfectly perfect, it even has the lil door sign. And Eee, YOUR SOOT SPRITE IS AMAZINNGG!! All your amis are wonderful, but that lil sprite is just ♥♥♥!

Hmm. The only thing I can think of for the mini light would be those strings of novelty LED lights you can get, I've seen some shaped like super mini Christmas lights. But .. that's too many lights. :/ Could you maybe make one with friendly plastic or something and add the LED?

RedheadWithThread, Cute harness, and that dicebag is a thing of beauty; love the fabric you chose.

Congrats SBC, QueenHobo and Bunny. Fabulous projects, well deserved!~

~
Prompt:  Big Time #1
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Harley Quinn v2
Project Link:
Brief Description: When I was reading the Harley Quinn Rebirth comics I knew I had to make a Harley and Ivy set of dolls. I made the second Harley with a paler skin tone and added her 'Rotten' tattoo on her cheek. I fell in love with Harley when I saw Suicide Squad, and I really enjoy making dolls of her, but her hair is a bit of a PITA to dye & attach, aha.
Project Picture:

Prompt:  Big Time #2
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Poison Ivy
Project Link: -
Brief Description: I based her design on the HQ Rebirth comics. If I make her again, I'd probably add a bit more black to her torso, but overall, I think she turned out super cute - I really love how her hair turned out (makes me want to make a Little Mermaid plush, hee).

Calabaza, hee, I see what you did there. Wink And thank you. <3 And congrats to you for making all the things! I need to aspire to that next round, I think.

Pretty fabric weights - what are they filled with? I don't really need any for the size of pattern pieces I work with, but they look like they might come in handy for throwing at the wall when things go wrong. Tongue

Smeddley, Fabulous additions. I am especially in love with your Affirmation Page. Something very touching about it - and I love the "still trying" and the portrait is lovely, too!

ActsofCraftiness, You have been super crafty! Your beaded projects are so very pretty, lovin' the colour combinations. And you cross stitch is BRILLIANT!

LovelyMiss, I don't know what I adore more; your buttons (and your distribution method!) or your walking dead notebook cover! ♥_♥

Prompt:  June ~ 4. Toothpick Bridge.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Loki doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: Loki is made of many pieces. Many, many, many pieces. >.< He is the most challenging doll I've designed to date given his tunic ..thing (?I do not know the correct terms for clothing, sorry!) that had to be designed as a separate piece, as well as his coat which has five separate flappy bits (told you Tongue). In the end I think he turned out rather cute, and figuring out how to do additional printed layers may mean I might actually get around to making a Jon Snow one of these days. Tongue

!! Please do not pin the following projects, thank you.

(I think I've done the big time thing right...? It's been too long since I did a non-prompt related post, ha. Let me know if I goofed, thanks!~)

Prompt: Big Time #1
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: Brain Power
Project Name: Velvet Loki Bear
Project Link:
Brief Description: When I was making my Bucky doll, I decided to make him a little Bucky Bear to go with him. Unfortunately he was super fiddly to put together being so small so I got it in my head to upscale the bear and make a whole range of superhero bears (because that's a brillant idea, having never made a bear before, right? So different from making human dolls!). I didn't realize at the time that upscaling meant a whole lot of revising because my little bear was cute at six inches but when scaled up, the issues with the pattern became a lot more evident. Loki was my first completed bear. After many, many, mannnny (see pic below) failed patterning attempts.
Project Picture:
(sorry, I have such a hard time trying to photograph black fabric.)

Prompt: Big Time #2
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Minky Loki Bear
Project Link:
Brief Description: After the first Loki bear had some issues with the velvet bearding like crazy, I decided to try my hand at making a version out of minky and tweaking the embroidery a bit. To be honest, I'm not overly thrilled with the minky - I know so many people love it, but to me it kind of looks like towelling lol. Working on ways to line the velvet as I much prefer the look and feel of it over the minky..

So many amazing projects have been posted since I popped in last. I really need to make a better effort to pop in and comment more often in the next round. >.<

SBC, I can't believe you crafted everything! That's amazing (as is your adorable cardigan - I am in love with the cloud pocket!).

I managed to get a couple last minute things finished, and am hoping I can finish up a couple more tomorrow. These are going to be playing fast & loose with the prompts but hopefully they pass. Wink

Prompt: August ~ 2. Folly Fields.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Steve Rogers doll
Project Link:  -
Brief Description: Steve was one of the first dolls I designed when I decided to try my hand at printing dolls. The first attempt did not go well. I ordered a yard of Steve and Bucky designs on both minky and fleece from Spoonflower and both fabrics were an epic fail. I then redesigned him to include loads more detail and ordered samples of every other fabric available. It took many, many tries before I got it right.
(side note, sorry about the watermark, I accidentally saved over the original image without saving a plain version. That's what I get for photoshopping when I should be sleeping Tongue)
Project Picture:

Prompt: July ~ 2. Loaves You Guild.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points:
Project Name: The Winter Soldier doll
Project Link:
Brief Description:  Bucky has to be one of my favourite characters in the MCU. I'm not sure if it's the tragic backstory or the guyliner, but either way, I think he's swell, even though his mind has been poisoned and he was turned against those he loves. Wink  I wasn't sure, when designing him, to add the war paint and mask, but in the end decided to go full on Winter Soldier. I may make a plain Bucky doll later..
Project Picture: (above)

Prompt: July ~ 4. The Guild of Learned Bookbinders and Librarians.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Thor Doll
Project Link:
Brief Description: Who doesn't love comic books? Err... I suppose they're called graphic novels now, though. And Thor has got to be one of the coolest comic book heroes around. I had a lot of fun giving him Thor-worthy locks. Though I wish his facial hair had printed up a bit darker - printing new colours is always a bit of a gamble.

Hihihihi nerd gamers!~  Cheesy

I've been a bit busy with life (you know how it is) and have been neglecting Craftster, but I missed this craftalong too much to stay away forever. Wink  I hope it's okay to drop in so close to the end of the game.

Oh, have to say; I am LOVING the whole Choose your own adventure vibe going on this time!! Super nifty! I find myself trying to decide what doll could fit what prompt and letting that be the deciding factor in who is made in what order, haha.

So many amazing projects posted, too. Love this thread - always so much crafty goodness and inspiration. ^__^

So.. 1,2,3...project dump!  Cheesy

[Pintrest fairy, please don't pin any of these, thank you!]

Prompt:  June : Enchanted Spork-in-the-Road
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: Brain Power
Project Name: Joel Doll
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=452888.0
(all dolls in the one post)

Brief Description: This is Joel, from the video game The Last of Us.
I decided to try my hand at designing dolls, having them printed, and stitching them up. So they're sort of a cross between art/design and dollmaking.
Project Picture:

Prompt:  June : Handspun Meadow.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: Sarah Doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: And this is Sarah, also from The Last of Us video game. I had a lot of fun making her printed fabric design - especially her tshirt. I eyeballed the shirt she wore in the game and tried to recreate it from scratch. Rather chuffed at how it turned out.
Project Picture:

Bonus shirt image:

Prompt:  June : Crossed Roads.
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: Harley Quinn doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: Harley took a lot more hand-sewing than my usual dolls; having to stitch up those pigtails were just impossible by machine - they kept trapping all the fur fibers in the seams, so I ended up doing a few rounds of hidden stitch before attaching them to her head (again, by hand Wink).
Project Picture:

Prompt:  July : Threadneedle Guild
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: McGarrett Doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: This fellow is from Hawaii Five-0. And he's 90% machine and 10% hand-sewn. (Loved this prompt ^__^)
Project Picture:

Prompt:  August : Cutout Clearing
Team: Clan of the Creators
Bonus Points: -
Project Name: Danno Doll
Project Link: -
Brief Description: This grumpy dude is Danny "Danno" Williams from Hawaii Five-0. Cutting out the printed fabric pattern pieces is always a bit of tense exercise for me; with so little seam allowance, and knowing if I accidentally slip, I have to re-order fabric and wait another 5-10 days before I can continue with the project.

6  Printed Plush!~ (x5!) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Noxika on: August 04, 2017 03:37:00 AM
Hihihi, Craftster peeps, long time no visit. ^_^

I'm getting back in the Craftster loop and thought I'd share my newest obsession.... printed plush.  They are designed in photoshop and printed up (Spoonflower) and then sewn together. I thought I'd throw all my current dolls up in one post, rather than make a bunch of new posts. Smiley

So.. first up, Miss Harley Quinn, decked out in her Suicide Squad best;

(and I had to include a shot of her hair, I'm just rather stoked with it, hee).

And these guys are Steve and Danny from Hawaii Five-0

...and this is Sarah & Joel from the video game The Last of Us..

Each one is about 12inches tall, and has various faux furs for their hair. ^__^
Thanks for reading!~

I received the most fabulous package from Acadian Driftwood. I literally squealed when I saw what was in the package.  Grin

First, there was this super cute hand drawn Harry/Luna bookmark. Love it! And it will come in handy as I've just started a new book. Cheesy

And the Pièce De Résistance, the most amazing Captain America/Winter Solider (Steve/Bucky♥) shirt.

(Sorry about the messy bed pic, I was rushing to snap a pic so I could put it on and never take it off Tongue)

Close up of the amazing hand stitched applique and detail work of the combined shield;

Thank you, thank you, thank you AD. I cannot fathom how much time went into this piece of wearable art; you completely outdid yourself (and my shippy heart totally appreciates it!)

I'm in love with my package from Roler. She made me the cutest lil mushroom pouch (complete with mushrooms on front, back and even mushroom fabric inside!~  Cheesy) and the most amazing bunny hoop.  Shocked I adore fantastical creatures that take on elements on their surroundings, and I amazed at how you created this magnificent hoop; you completely outdid yourself, Thanks Roler!~

Whee~ So behind on pretty much everything.

Ahh, SBC those piggies are ADORABLE!! And such nifty knitted things (completely in love with those pom-pom bunny tails on that beanie, hee, AMAZING!~)  And holy phenomenal organizinational skills, Batman! And that dalmation! ...and how are you so fast at crafting? I'm completely jealous.

QueenHobo, Your pot pie thingie (Cheesy) looks delish! And your epic blanket is superrr epic. (Love the ♥ in place of the O) And so many amazing crochet things -- (one day I will learn how to do that Tongue) -- Lilli's hat in particular is just gorgeous.

RBR; ...that is brilliant. And so, so pretty.

Roler; You make the yummiest looking dishes. And super swap items!

Prompt:  March ~ To Kill A Mockingbird
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:  Community
Project Name: Newt Scamander
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=451933.0
Brief Description: I recently saw Fantastic Beasts and fell in loovvee. Or maybe it's just been too long since I visited the HP-verse. Anyway, I just loved the theme of friendship in the movie and the lengths Newt was willing to go to to help his friends (even if they did live in his suitcase Wink)
Project Picture:

Prompt: March ~ The Handmaid's Tale
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Carol plush
Project Link:
Brief Description: I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead (no surprises there, right?), but more than the zombies, I love the character development, and Carol is the epitome of a strong, powerful woman.
Project Picture:

Prompt: Free Range #1
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Harry Potter Doll

10  A Newt in the hand.. in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Noxika on: March 23, 2017 02:07:59 AM
..is worth two in the bush. No, wait. That's birds. Well, I'm sure he's worth a lot, anyway. Wink

Guess who saw Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them recently? That would be me. And guess who fell in love with Newt? Yep, also me.   I forgot how much I missed being immersed in the HP-verse.

Anyway! I do what I always do when I add another fictional character to my "adore" list; I plushify them!~

This time I decided to shrink him down a bit (must have been inspired by the Occamy) to fit into my hand. A palm-sized plush! He's about 6 inches when seated, and about 7.5 inches from head to toe.

Here he is, toward the end of his creation, just missing the top stitching on his coat, his suitcase and his ears.

(side note: why is it so hard trying to take a picture of yourself holding something? Stupid awkward angles.)

And this is once I added ears.....

And the coat & case....

So now he's ready to go and find some more friends to go in his suitcase!~
