21  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / I love veggies (actually fruit) tea towel! on: July 24, 2005 10:10:24 PM
Here's my take on the tea towel included in the Stitch-It kit.  I used the "I love Veggies" transfers and sewed on a little jumbo rick-rack to spruce it up.

Just thought I'd share!   Smiley
22  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / mini Victorian Christmas stocking on: July 20, 2005 11:00:01 PM
This is my first time EVER posting a completed project on Craftster.  Fingers crossed, this will work!

Here's the link to my little work of art!

Not the greatest quality photo, but it has lots of Victorian holiday floral motifs that were applied to the felt using transfer paper. . .

23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Cross-stitch question - hoop or no hoop? on: July 12, 2005 08:20:32 PM
I feel silly asking this, but I have little experience cross-stitching.  Is an embroidery hoop used to hold the aida cloth?  Or do you just hold the cloth and stitch away since it doesn't shift and stretch like regular embroidery work?
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Sampler patterns that aren't cross-stitch??? on: July 07, 2005 09:13:52 PM
Does anyone know where I could obtain patterns (maybe even the iron-on transfer variety?) for traditional looking embroidered samplers that are not worked in cross-stitch?  I found a couple at needlecrafter.com, but didn't really like the designs.  I'd like to make something that has an antique-y vibe, but that won't drive me crazy!  I thought about cutting and pasting a bunch of transfers I already have, but it would be so much easier if I could find something like this that's already put together. . .
