13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: ambidextrous knitting? on: April 19, 2006 02:43:39 AM
I can do this. When I learnt to knit when I was kid  it annoyed me that only one arm did all the work and would hurt while the other was fine. So I just started knitting back and forth. Didn't even find out I was doing anything different until a year ago. Its handy since you don't have to purl, and I hate purling! if I ever do need to purl thats when i turn my work. But then again I'm also ambidextrous so maybe thats why it was so easy for me to do.
And I recall someone saying its called backwards knitting.

te he he thanks.  Smiley

I was thinking of sewing another top simular to this to put on ebay.. it was a ton of fun to make!
If I did this, would anyone be interested?

i'd definately be interested. I love that top. normally I dont like pvc but that is really hot. btw i think leaving the front plain is fine, or it might look to busy, but i guess that depends on what you decide to put on the front

Can you describe what it tastes like? It doesn't ring a bell for me. If you can give a more detailed description I can try looking it up in all my filo recipe books.
Was it soft and chewy or hard? Did it have a milky taste? Was it only the filling that was made of coconut?

Anyway I thought I would share what my invite looks like. It took me a day to get it done and now I'm having nightmares trying to email it...grr but here it is

Hey all, my 21st is coming up and I wanted to have a mad hatter tea party theme. But I need some idea for decorations. Right now all I have is:
 - set up the food table with tea cups
 - string up a deck of cards and hanging it around the place
 - making cup cakes with eat me written on it. I wanted to make drink me things too but I dont know what to do that on. Maybe jello shots?

But I need some more ideas. Anyone have any ideas?
