Reupholster! You'll love it when it's done! Pick a fabric or two you love and you'll be so satisfied.
Make sure it's a thick enough fabric though so it will not stretch when pulled tight.

& one tip I just discovered (I'm in the middle of my 1st re-upholstery  of a wing back recliner),
use needle nose pliers and grab fabric sideways and roll inwards, it will peel the staples out if your fabric is thick enough.
Then you won't have to take them out later with a flat head!
