11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Goodbye, LOST. I will miss you. on: May 29, 2010 12:58:15 AM
This rocks my socks.  LOST rocked my socks.  The finale only rocked one sock.  Curious to know what you thought of it?  (I love the six symbols you settled on)

I'm with you, only one sock. It was great, up until the last 10 minutes or so. I did like the way it ended on the island, kind of poetic, full circle and all that. But the sideways world...  Roll Eyes

I love this! They turned out great! Especially the Orchid, such clean lines.

But maybe Jacob's shirt should have been white?  Grin

This is too awesome for words. That scene made me sad, but when they repeated it with Desmond and the car in the water, I kind of freaked out a bit.
Great embroidery, I love how you made the the writing look like faded marker lines.

Is it too horrible to copy your design?? I think it sums up the 6 seasons so well.

Of course it's not, go right ahead! I fully support your Lost mania.  Grin

Wow, thanks for all the comments! So many fans of Lost on this board, I feel like we should form a support group or something.  Wink

So, only one episode of Lost left.  Cry
This is me saying goodbye. I plan to frame this cross stich, place it on my wall and sniff a little every time I see it.

I used six little symbols that represent Lost for me. I needed only six, for the six seasons Lost had. But the choice was hard. After all, so many to chose from. Fishbiscuit, polar bear, Black Rock, hatch, airplane, submarine, Otherville... Am I a nerd? Yes, I am.

Here's a wrinkled, out of the hoop picture.

Since this is as big as these pictures can get, here's a link to my blog post with clickable pictures, for anyone who wants to see bigger close-ups.

Anything DW related is automatically cool in my book. Great job!

Fantastic! I like that you sewed a towel out of aida, and I think the text looks better off-centered that it would if it was centered, for sure. I have no idea what he's saying, but I think that we probably are in agreement.

Also, I love your Emerson Cod user icon Smiley

He's saying: I hate dishes!  Grin

And thanks for the icon love. Emerson is the best. Too bad the show is over.

That's so cool. How do you pronounce 'Mrgud'?

In Croatian, you pronounce words pretty much the way you write them. So Mrgud would be 'mrgud'. Or ['m'rgud] if I remember my phonetics class correctly. Which I doubt.

Let's say it's a combination of myrrh and good. Pronounce those two words together fast and you get Mrgud. Myrrhgood.  Smiley
