A lovely flower pin that I wish I knew how to make so I could decorate everything with little yarn flowers:

Thanks for being such a great swap partner, LiN!

The yarn flower is actually called a flower loom.  I found these on craftster..

I was rummaging thru an old craftshop in Chinatown and accidentally found the flower loom.  It is sooo 70s!  I'll post the pic to show u later.

Here are the pics of the flower loom I found in Chinatown...I bet its as old/ older than me (im born in the 70s)..Haha!

Im so glad the package reached you intact.  U r welcome!  I enjoyed swaping with you too, *k*!

*gasp* that package from LiN is fabulous! I love that pin cushion to bits!

Oh! Thanks Mezzi.  I thought since *k* sews alot, a pin cushion would be most suitable.  I'm so glad she liked the items.

Whoa Lin, that is AMAZING.

I love how you've installed the button on the body instead of the flap - a very nice touch. And I also like how you've top-stitched all the way around the flap and body instead of just the flap (which is a dead giveaway that it was the last seam you had to close!).

I may be inclined to nick your design.... Wink

Fantastic job!!!

Thanks sweetpea74!  Smiley  Haha! And I thought I nicked your idea...Thanks for the tut!

One lesson I've learnt is not to use an interfacing that is too thick.  I had a bit of a problem turning it inside out, thus the creases...

^ ahh thats adorable! Cheesy

Made these with linen and then used a permanent marker to doodle on them..

LiN - yours looked so neat.

Thanks!  The linen looks lovely with the blue and white checks!  Wink

Im sending my package to *k* today but Ive been told it will take 10-14 days to reach!  Sheesh!  I hope *k* wont mind the wait. Tongue  I'll try to find out if there is a better way to send.

That's alright, LiN.  I can be patient.  I think things like that should be expected when sending so far across the globe.   Wink

Oh *k*, u are the kindest!

And to top it up, I received *k*'s awesome pink package in my mail box today!

I took my time to open the package, it comes in pink wrappers with pink ribbon and a card....it looks so complete that I almost wanted to leave it unopened.

I read the card first and then opened the package.  The first thing I saw was a perfectly sewed bag!  The stitches matched perfectly!  I soooo love the bag!!!! And on the bag was this pretty fabric brooch which I had dreamed of owning/ making for the longest time!!!

Oh, there's more...
In the bag, there were 2 more brooches to add to my already full drawer of brooches!!! Yay!!! *k* did a good job spying on me  Wink coz I am crazy about brooches!!!!

And you thought it was over?...NO...in the bag was a pocket; and when I opened the pocket, there was this sweet pink bracelet!!!  I don't usually wear bracelets but Im sure this one is gonna stay on my wrist for a long, long time...coz I simply adore it!!!!!

Thanks *k*!!!!  This has got to be the best swap package I've ever received!!!!Even my husband was impressed tooo.
(The pics dont do any justice coz I took the photos at night.  Will repost the pics as soon as I took better pics in the sunlight)

8  Re: A KICK @$$ NEW CREDIT CARD HOLDER/MINI WALLET in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by LiN on: August 09, 2005 11:36:19 PM
Im inspired....but lil bit lazy.  Well the ribbons look kinda messy woven, so I left them as stripes.  Added a ribbon as a clasp.

Oh! And I made a ribbon brooch to match!
