3  Moon charm in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by chantalg on: September 15, 2015 11:37:36 PM
For this strange pendant, I used a leftover piece of black lace and a moon charm called fve. It is a charm or token hidden in a "galette des Rois". The "galette des rois" is a puff pastry cake traditionally shared at Epiphany, on January 6th. You can find very beautiful charms that some people like to collect.

I just used glue (with a glue gun), that I painted in blue, to hold things together.

4  Chalk painted chair in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by chantalg on: September 07, 2015 01:44:26 PM
Hello,

I am new on the forum and I love all the beautiful projects I have already seen. I have just started using chalk paint. I have got a few old chairs which need to be refreshed ! I have painted my first chair and distressed it (maybe too much !!). The chairs will be in different rooms so I will paint them with different colours. My first one in blue :

Please, tell me what you think about it.

Thanks for visiting.

5  Pirate cuff in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by chantalg on: September 07, 2015 01:04:39 PM
Hello ,

I am French, new member on the forum. I love it and I have already discovered beautiful and amazing projects. I wondered what I would show you first. As I particularly like to recycle all sorts of things to make jewelry, I have chosen to show you a pirate cuff and shoulder pad (I am not sure "pad" is the right word ! You will tell me !) I recently made for my daughter.

My daughter needed a pirate costume for a pirate metal music clip. We bought a skirt and corset. With that, we received something which looked like a G-string ! We decided to cut and keep the nice piece of fabric. I used it for the cuff along with leather from an old handbag, lace bought in a junk shop, charms and closed it with cuff links.
For the shoulder pad, I used a piece of leather that covered an old shoe heel (that was my daughter's idea).

That was good fun making this.
Thanks for your visit
