1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / denim rug: braid or crochet? on: October 19, 2007 09:46:55 PM
I've got a pile of old blue jeans that are destined to be a rug for my front hall, but I can't decide whether to braid or crochet. I have braid aids and a big hook, so I'm ready for either way. Any experienced rug makers with a preference? Also, would you cut the material on the bias or not?

Thanks, Craftsters!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / embroidery after stuffing? on: March 11, 2006 07:53:23 PM
I want to make my daughter a wee...
The tut as written has you embroider the face after the doll is stuffed. How does this work? Where do the knots go? I could just do the face before I sew it on, but I'm intrigued...
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / subversive cross stitch pattern on: January 26, 2006 05:28:26 PM
I'm working on the Subversive Cross Stitch "Homo Sweet Homo" pattern, and I'd like to add a teddy bear (as the boys that it's for are bears), but I'm having trouble finding a small, simple teddy motif. Can anyone help with a link or a book title?
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / easy breezy apron on: February 29, 2004 12:27:28 PM
This is an easy superfast project. Take a bandanna and some bias tape...
Pin the bias tape along one edge of the apron, sew, and viola!
