1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Another favorite Book Swap on: May 09, 2017 06:35:58 PM
Would anyone be interested in doing another swap involving favorite books?
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Disney Holiday Swap on: October 19, 2016 08:20:21 AM

I love doing the Harry Potter themed holiday swap and have a ton of fun doing it. So I was thinking about other fandoms I love and of course Disney came to mind. So Im thinking basically the same style/set up as the Harry Potter holiday swap.

Swappers will create 1 small item sticking to the theme of Disney. It can be anything holiday related such as an ornament, a decoration, jewelry, etc. Swappers can specify which holiday(s) they celebrate or prefer to receive for since there are multiple (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.) this time of year. Since items will be small multiple partners would be possible. Maximum of 3 partners. First time swappers limited to 1.

Any takers?

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Vikings, Pirates, & Ninjas oh my! on: February 29, 2016 06:26:43 PM
So with the popularity of old school warriors such as: Vikings, Pirates, Ninjas, Knights, etc. I was thinking it might to do a swap based on this. Especially with the rise in media such as shows, movies, video games being based on historical warriors. A few examples of these are Vikings, Black Sails, Game of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean, even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Of course it wouldn't be limited to specific fandoms, it could also be based on historically accurate information. The possibilities are endless! Any takers?
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Buffy the Vampire Slayer on: January 24, 2016 09:12:24 AM

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Video Game Swap on: January 01, 2016 06:20:13 PM
Would there be interest in swap about video games? No particular type of games in specific.
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Wood Chalkboard Letters on: August 28, 2015 08:01:13 PM
I made these for my nephews after they asked for end of the year gifts for their teachers. This was a fun little project to put together. I first bought plain wood letters for the initial of the teachers last name. Sidenote: in the photos I have blocked out where it says the teachers full last name just so it isn't out there for everyone to see.  Smiley Then I spray painted each letter with chalkboard paint. After quite a few coats and lots of sanding in between I finally achieved a smooth surface that was easy to write on. The I took a thin scrap piece of wood that i already had around and drew apples on them. Cut them out by hand with a mounted jigsaw and then painted them with a multiple shades of red and white highlights. Used wood glue to attach them. The hot glued the string for hanging as well as attached multi colored chalk on a string. These could easily be replicated using any letter as well as for back to school gifts instead of end of school gifts. Smiley

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Studio Ghibli Swap on: August 28, 2015 07:10:32 PM
I'm not sure if this has been done before but I would love to see a studio ghibli swap occur. Even if it was just a OTT or something. I have seen that other people like studio ghibli but since I am a newer member I am not ready or comfortable to organize one.  I'm just wondering if there would be enough interest or not? Cheesy
