Hi!  If you look at my website (in my signature) you will see example of what I'll be bringing!  Almost all of our items are under $5! As far as the fair goes, there will probably be items in a wide range of prices - small stocking-stuffer type items, and larger items to purchase too!  Usually you can find something for everyone!  Hope to see you there!

It seems like it would be really hard to do without a blender!  But what you might try is going to Goodwill or another thrift store to get a blender for really cheap!  And it wouldnt matter if it was a little old or dusty...

Now, all we have to do is wish the rain far far away...

Hi!

I wanted to reiterate what others have said.  Pittsburgh has its ups and downs, but I like it here!

I grew up in the suburbs, came back after leaving for college/grad school, and have been here for almost 2 years now!

There is a ton of crafty stuff going on.  We had a big craft show in the fall last year, (http://www.handmadearcade.com) and the Church of Craft is just starting up.  There are also lots of great little indie boutiques like Sugar (http://www.sugarboutique.com).

The thing about Pittsburgh is that there is a lot of space available.  Lots of people can, and do, start up their own galleries/stores/art spaces.  There are enough people here to take a good idea and run with it.  It's a smaller city, but I'm not tired of being here.  I am still meeting new people every day and loving it!  And lots of space = space for art- and craft-making!

It's also a decently large enough city that lots of bands, etc come through here.  And the drives to Philly, DC, NYC, even Chicago are not really bad - if you need to get out of town for a bit (and who doesn't every once in a while?) they're not so far away.  Southwest Airlines is starting up here in May, I think with roundtrips to Philly and Chicago for $76.  I thought about living in a bigger city, but, for me, dealing with student loan debt, I would rather live in a place with a low cost of living, and take little trips out once in a while to get my fix of big-city-ness.

Ask away if you have any more questions!
