21  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Vanna's Choice Yarn. on: November 05, 2008 06:05:54 PM
Yeah, so in the meantime I made a scarf out of the green and yellow colors of this..

I actually really love it.

My girlfriend. I drew her tattoo.
Although I'll admit, it reminds me of one of the days we were especially on the rocks. Which.. is like every day for the past three weeks but, hey.  Roll Eyes what can you do.

My initials are just under the treble clef. Because I designed it.. I'm drawing one for her mom too and she'll be getting my initials too. lol.

I know it's not the best picture.. I'll be back with another.
Well.. that night she said she made a huge mistake, and still wanted me, and it was in 'the heat of the moment'.

And I still love her.. so we're working through it. Or basically, she's being really sweet and trying to make up for it.

Hmph. But at least my penguin and ring hasn't gone to waste.

You know you're a loser when that's your concern, but whatever lool.
24  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help with intarsia in the round? on: October 16, 2008 08:01:47 PM
Okay, so I am in the process of making a top-down, in-the-round sweater with a ribcage design on the front. But now I'm stuck.. I know I can't do stranded knitting to make it, and I know it needs to be intarsia. How do I go about doing this?

I'm starting the design right after I split off the sleeves, so maybe I could just knit the front and back separately, at least for the length of the design?

I'd really prefer not to.. I suppose worst comes to worst I could always just duplicate stitch it in, but I'd also prefer not to do that lol..

Awww yay! It looks great Smiley
I gave her the ring last weekend.

She dumped me this weekend.
27  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! on: October 04, 2008 12:10:29 AM
I'm not 18 for another year and a half or so, but I thought of one that would definitely mean a lot to me.

I'd have it on my shoulder blade, not sure which one. It'd be three Kanji symbols, placed vertically. The symbol for Heaven would be on the top, Earth would be in the middle, and Hell would be on the bottom.

They'd probably be little, maybe an inch or half an inch wide?

But first of all, I'm religious. Most people are shocked to learn this, but, whatever. This tattoo would mean a lot to me that way, but heaven and hell represent everything I've gone through in my life, positive and negative. And the fact that they are together in one tattoo represents to me that one cannot exist without the other.

Idk, I have plenty of time to work out all the details but I like the idea a lot so far.

i had a pretty fun hair color this summer. i dyed over a bleached out blondey blue head of hair with HOT PINK and i got this... its a mix of hot pink, fuscia,, blue and purples.... so amazing...

its now a totally faded out blonde pile of garbage... but, i do own more blue and more hot pink so im hoping to try and recreate this fantastic pile of awesomeness....
I LOVE this! I especially love the fact that your scarf matches so well..

This is amazing.
29  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Branching Out Headband on: September 28, 2008 02:44:08 PM

Pattern: http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTbranchingout.html
Yarn: Knitpicks Bare Merino Laceweight
Needles: Size 2

See, I got sick of knitting this a long time ago.. but it wasn't exactly long enough as a scarf. I got the brilliant (possibly..) idea of making it into just a headband. And considering when I dyed my hair I really didn't mean for it to turn black, I needed something nice for my hair, haha. So here it is.
And as it turns out, it really doesn't look all that bad as a scarf. It's not very useful as one as it's really thin, but it looks cute.

(and slightly offtopic, but I also gauged my ears to an 8 last night. You can see em in this picture. Smiley)

I dyed my hair.
This is the color it's been for pretty much the past two years.

I loved the color! But I decided I'd love it even more if it were darker. Well..

Black. Luckily when I style it and put on inordinate amounts of bronzer I don't look like a goth.
I miss my brown hair Sad Wasn't even around long enough to take more than like, three pictures of. Poor thing.
I'm still trying to make my peace with this.
When I first did it (Last night?) my girlfriend and I kinda got in a fight, and then I felt crappy anyway, and I hated it. I was really upset.
I'm liking it a little more, it's still hard to figure out how to dress to offset it.. and I still wish I'd just left the damn thing alone.

We'll see in a few days I suppose lol.
