1  Bella mittens X2!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by liljinkss on: November 08, 2009 11:16:45 AM
My daughter and I are huge fans of Twilight. When I found the pattern for Bella's mittens we were sooo excited!!! So I made my daughter a pair. I was cheap about it and used Jiffy yarn to make them. Needless to say I HATE that yarn. Lesson learned. As soon as I finished my cousin (who is a Twilight FANATIC) asked me to make her a pair. She offered to pay me but I don't like family to pay me to make stuff. So as it goes Courtney works at Michaels. We were both short on cash so I told her if she bought the yarn she could pay me by buying me a couple skeins of yarn so I could make something for myself! Worked out perfectly because it was employee appreciation week and she got 5 skeins of yarn for like 13 dollars and change!!! Hers was knitted from Lion Brand Wool Ease held double stranded. I like them much better! Well enough of the rambling onto the piccies!!

My daughter's pair, sorry for the sucky cell photos but my camera hates me right now. This is all I have of hers.

My cousin soo happy to have her new mittens!!!

Almost 70 degrees in November in Wisco is rare!!! And this big dork won't take off her new mittens to answer her phone!!!

And is getting mad that she can't hit the right buttons!!! TAKE THEM OFF ALREADY LMAO!!!

2  Queen Anne's Lace Scarf my first REAL project! (pic chubby) in Crochet: Completed Projects by liljinkss on: August 18, 2009 07:29:01 AM
K, so for a looong time I've been trying to hone my crochet skills. I've never made anything besides my dish cloths. I had this leftover ball of red heart collage from a knitted ear flap hat and this pattern seemed to be easy enough. Took 3 times to start the dang thing but two days later it's done! My hubby was darling enough to model it for me! Here's the pattern. No pictures but it's still a pretty easy pattern to work with! http://1craftyboy.wordpress.com/2007/12/11/okey-dokey/ Onto the pics! Grin

And a close up shot!

3  Two firsts! A bit pic chubby :-P in Dyeing: Completed Projects by liljinkss on: February 22, 2008 05:17:28 PM
Ok, this is the first time I recycled a sweater for wool. So there's the first of the two. Second I picked a hideous color because I really didn't want to ruin "good" colored wool to practice on. So now on to the second I dyed it with kool aid! It was soo much fun and my neighbor told me when she came in that my house smelled like fruit. I had to show her what I was doing and we both agreed that at least it didn't stink my house up lol. Comments and critisism (I know spelled sooo wrong!) welcome. Thanks for looking!

This is the original color I started with believe me it was that gross it was taken in sunlight.

Cookin it up!

Before wash and many rinses...

And finally dried it looks a bit brighter because by the time I got this pic the sun was down.  Sad

4  My very first completed project!!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by liljinkss on: February 02, 2008 04:36:57 AM
It's a calorimetry!! I practiced and it took me two times frogging it to get it right. I used red heart acrylic yarn as I didn't want to ruin good yarn trying to learn to knit. But I do love the colors! Lemme know what you think. Good or bad cause I really need the help here lol.

Ok so yeah, I look craptastic but I was freakin tired!

The upper part

And the back

Edited because I'm touched and didn't use img links lol.

5  My growing purse! Edited to add better full grown pic! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by liljinkss on: October 06, 2007 08:12:03 PM
Ok, I have to admit I have been eyeing a purse much like this for some time now, but I knew I could make one for much cheaper! I have been thinking about it for a week now and here is my newest! It is pleated and lined with tshirt material so it will stretch as I load more in it! So all in all IT GROWS! Ha! There were some learning experiences but the next time will be easier! Comments and cristism welcome! Thanks for lookin!

Ok so here it is all flat with nothing in it. Measurements are 12 inches at the widest when flat. Height is about 13 inches.

Now with what i could find to jam in it lol! When stretched out at its widest point would be roughly 18 inches give or take! I love this hehe!

And now I feel like I accomplished something!  Grin

6  New purse and lots more!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by liljinkss on: August 31, 2007 05:22:56 PM
Hi I followed this tute to make the purse but made some changes as I wanted it to be reversable! http://tinyhappy.typepad.com/tiny_happy/2006/06/shoulder_bag_tu.html. I made a matching lined zipper pouch to fit my necesities in that usually roll all over my purse. I also used a tutorial from here for the wallets. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=190408.0The first one is the one I made my daughter I was anxious to take a pic so I hadn't finished it off yet. The next one is mine and my favorite fat quarter I have found finally put to good use. Comments of all kinds appreciated!

Paisley side of bag. I love this fabric and got it in the remnant bin for $2.53!!! I added yellow buttons because it really didn't have any yellow in it but I thought it needed some!

Flowered side of purse. I got this in the form of a shirt from my aunt with orange and red buttons to coordinate.

Matching lined zipper pouch. Sorry I had my junk in it so it looks kinda wonky.

To show the shape of it...

Daughter's wallet

My wallet with no snap yet but I still love it!!!
