I recently had to move home due to some health problems and decided to give my childhood bedroom a facelift. The original paint was hunter green when it was popular in the 90's.. I decided to go with a industrial grey and stained the old armoire java brown and stenciled elephants on the front ( I made my stencil out of wax paper) more projects to go but this is one side of the room and now it looks more mature and far more cozy... out with old and in with the new

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / terrarium turnip doll on: February 24, 2015 12:10:03 PM
I love terrariums and dolls and decided to do a combo of the 2 with a live turnip growing and rooting on the inside. This guy is made from newspaper, twine, deer antlers, a wasps nest, pompom from an old coat, sequin fabric, and a mason jar filled with soil for the turnip to continue growing.. the turnip has been in there almost 2 weeks and is thriving inside and the mason jar is serving as a greenhouse.. I was so happy to have made this for myself and it's rare for me to just create for myself!!!
