lol @ fermented catnip!!! His arms are jointed, the cotton canvas body was dyed using old copper pipes, the belly and face are pieces of linen dyed with beets, the yellow linen shirt is dyed with wild flowers, his pants are velvet and his clothes do come off lol... he stands 13 inches tall machine and hand sewn!

thanks a ton, it was an experimental piece.. burlap was not the easiest fabric to work with but  wanted to give it a shot... it seemed the most natural with bone and I was practicing embroidering flowers

Thanks for the kind words, I shared the ram because this is the year of the goat as far as Chinese new year is concerned.. I have a few more pieces that I want to create after the buffalo and hopefully one of these years display them as a group.. I have earned the calluses on my fingertips due to these creations Smiley

thanks, I have created a few sculptures like this.. a boar,  bobcat, the ram, a mannequin and almost completed with the buffalo as it's the largest of all of them... I use 5mm sequins with 3 stiches to each one. the fur is hand sewn and the horns are machine sewn but then hand sewn onto the sculpture....here is a pic of some of the sequin detail.. I recently completed a marmoset monkey but I used beads for it
