1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Lots o' Boleros on: August 19, 2008 08:31:08 AM
I have planned to make the Ribbed Lace Bolero too ... it seems like a simple but very usable item.  Both of yours look great.

 Cheesy  This is so cool!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Taj Mahal ... a summer sleeveless tank on: August 18, 2008 05:29:24 PM
I used 1 1/2 lb cone of Cotton Fine and this yarn is just perfect for summer tank!  Okay ... maybe not really that perfect because it is thin and the project would feels like taking forever.  But otherwise it would give a very comfortable fabric.
The pattern is from knitonthenet ... definitely a lovely pattern:

As a matter of fact, I am wearing it now ... love it!
There are more photos and details of the project here.  Thanks for reading.

I have to make this ... I have to make this!  Great job!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Finished: Rosemary's Swing Jacket , from Interweave Winter 2007 on: August 18, 2008 05:18:45 PM
Lovely!  I love the eggplant colour too!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Dreamcatcher Medallion Cardigan ... love the medallion on the back! on: August 08, 2008 02:19:46 PM
The pattern is from Teva Durham's Loop-d-Loop, one of my favourite knit designers.  The knitting is a breeze, especially considering the cardigan is knitted in one piece up to the armhole, then divide for the 2 fronts and back ... minimum sewing needed.  But what I love most about this cardigan is the medallion pattern on the back:

The fit is good and I made the 2/3 sleeves because I ran out of yarn ... turned out I love this length too!  Grin

The front of the cardigan is pretty plain jane, but I love the colour of the Berroco Suede knitted up.

Here are the details of the project and more photos.  Thanks.

Very nice!  Thanks for sharing.  Smiley
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: OMG! I knitted a dress (Lacy Dress from VK) on: July 21, 2008 05:31:03 PM
that's beautiful!!! I'm always intimidated by the designs in vk, but i i continue to buy the mags!! Grin great work!!!

I find myself starting to like the VK designs more than IK ones.  Of course it helps a lot to see other people knitting and wearing the FOs.  Sometimes I would feel that the designs are just for skinny models, but seeing more imaginative knitters making the patterns their own inspired me to be braver in my choice of patterns.   Grin
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: OMG! I knitted a dress (Lacy Dress from VK) on: July 15, 2008 08:19:46 AM
Thank you everyone for your lovely compliments!  I was just very happy that the lacy edging as sleeve caps worked out so well, otherwise, I would be stuck with something "almost finished" ... those knitters who made the long-sleeve-version really got my admiration (you can find quite a few in Ravelry).
I'll be searching for a pair of light-coloured sandals to match the dress (I only have black ones) before I wear it outside the swimming pool.   Grin

I don't make toys ... but I really love this pattern.  The elephant is so cute.  You did a great job.
