2  Re: magazine bowls (first project post!) TUTE ADDED!!! (have pic hosting issues. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by capitanjen on: October 06, 2006 10:25:49 PM

start by folding the corner up.

this is how a finished one should look like. tape it shut. if you want a big bowl, then make a loootttttt of these.

roll it up into a a... roll? haha

when you get to the end, tape the second slat to it. i dont know if you can see it here, but its taped. continue this until your bowl is as large (or small in this case) as you want it to be

woo hoo almost done. tape the last one shut.

pop it up! yay!!! hope this helps

i dont know if this helps, but heres a pic of the rectangular bowls i made:

you start off folding 4 middle ones, and you tape all 4 together. then you take one end of the folded paper, and you tape it on, then you just keep rolling until your hearts content! after that you CAREFULLY push the middle part down, and it will become a bowl. layer on the elmers glue, and yay!

hope this helps! sorry if it doesnt.

-a photo keychain thing
-a pair of blue dangly earrings

and things not pictured are:
-the button necklace she gave me (my favorite!!!!!!!), but is super tangled right now. stupid clumsy fingers!
-a super rad potholder which is perfect, bc i love to bake! im gonna go to clinary college and major in patisserie and open up a dessert shop, and this is going to be there!

i got some cheap slip-ons (woot woot payless!) and i spraypainted them with a lace pattern. i did this awhile ago, but it came off so i re-did it. i decided to add some stuff and tada!

its not dry yet, so you can still see all the glue on it

here are the recatangular one that i made, but its more of a square  Tongue

thats a close up of the middle part. (sorry, i guess my camera isnt focused so it looks more scary then cool it really is) you start by making for individual roles and you tape them together, and you just build off of that.
