1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Jewelry Trunk Show Swap GALLERY on: October 09, 2010 06:47:49 PM
I was paired with Ceemonster, and she did a lovely job with everything (and was patient with my late delivery)

Here are the items she made for me! Thanks for a great swap. Smiley

The Box

The Jewlery

This included a ring...

Some hairpins

A jewelry set (my favorite)

And a necklace

Don't want to forget the extra charms!

You're creativity and effort shows Ceemonster! Thanks again!

I adore that fabric.  It's a very nice choice for fruit fabric.  Also, your modifications really enhanced your final project.  That's pretty talented, amazing and so forth!  The background you took your pictures on is freaking adorable?  Is it a wall hanging/painting/sheet?

Beautiful!  My mom taught me to sew too, but she never worked in ready-wear.  I would love to learn a lot of the techniques they use, because there can be quite a difference!

What do you think about Paton's classic merino.  I have used it before, but only on small projects.  Does it soften up quite a bit after blocking??  Merino is supposed to be soft, but I don't feel like it is, at least when I'm knitting with it...  Great job on the sweater.  I've been eyeing that pattern for a while, but that's true about 10293812039182 other patterns.  Haha.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Literally, last minute prom dress. on: September 28, 2007 12:01:52 PM
oh my gosh!  I love awkward prom dates!  My prom date I literally had NEVER spoken to before.  But he wanted to go with this one girl (who later became my friend at college) but she already had a date.  And then he was gonna ask another girl, but then SHE got a date.  So basically I was last pickens'.  Nice huh?  Hahaha.  There you have my story.  Enjoy.

I love the look of your dress. Very original.  I made a 1930's pattern for mine!

That is awesome.  I have seen the spoof and the episode.  Sooo sweet.  I want one now.  Haha

CUUUUUTE!  I have that pattern, and I must make them now.  I made the other pants by the Simplicity Built by Wendy collection, which I like, the the pockets were too far apart and made my bottom look funny.  These ones look snazzy in stretch twill!  Woot.
