1  Re: Long wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Norahsmom on: March 29, 2006 07:37:58 PM
I found your tutorial yesterday and this afternoon I made a wallet to go along with the purse I made for my best friend's 50th birthday.  I can't believe how easy your tutorial was, and I plan to make lots more!  Thank you SO much!

The shiny rectangular thing is just glare from my label.  In real life it is black with white print.

I love how it turned out and thanks again for sharing your great tutorial!

2  A KICK @$$ NEW CREDIT CARD HOLDER/MINI WALLET in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Norahsmom on: August 04, 2005 12:20:59 PM
I just LOVE how this turned out!  OK. The ribbon snap thingy could have been centered a bit better, but all in all a success!
I took 4 kinds of ribbon and wove them together.  Then I ironed on some fusible interfacing onto the back to hold it together while I sewed the ribbons for extra stability.  That gave me a really cute looking "ribbon cloth".  I made it into this:  (It's alot brighter in real life.)

Front - closed

The back - open.

3  A pirate t-shirt! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Norahsmom on: July 08, 2005 04:45:22 PM
Hi everyone!
I have a friend who is moving away to live on a sailboat in the US Virgin Islands!  I made this t-shirt as a going away present!

The front.  It is hard to read in this photo but it says "Got Rum?"  (We all love Captain Morgan's and Diet Coke!)

The back.  I fouled up the middle of the A but it gives it character right?!    Grin

4  New green bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Norahsmom on: July 08, 2005 04:37:56 PM
Two very good friends of mine are moving away to live on a sailboat.  I made this as a going away present for one of them.

My friend is Irish and she loves green!

I added 3 pockets.

I sewed in a clear vinyl pocket and put in a photo of all of us taken  last New Years.

I also stenciled a pirate t-shirt for her husband.  I'll post a photo of it in the stencil forum!

6  My first Jordy bags! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Norahsmom on: June 29, 2005 07:26:48 AM
Hi everyone!  This is my first post so I hope I get it right.  I made these bags on Sunday and I really like how they turned out!  Smiley (Thanks Jordy!!!) Smiley   The pink one has 6 pockets on the outside.  The green one doesn't have any pockets.  I gave the green one to my sister and she suggested I make more and try selling them on e-bay.  I need your advice on that.  Do you think they are good enough to try to sell?  Also, what do you think I should ask for?  Thanks!

I put heavy interfacing on both the outside and on the lining so it holds it's shape.

I also put it in the handles and an extra 2 layers on the bottom so it is nice and stiff.

I double stitched all the seams so they should be fairly sturdy.
