1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Help with peanut costume for 9 month old on: September 24, 2007 12:29:14 PM
We did this same costume for my niece 2 years ago! We used brown felt, black/brown marker for the peanut shell lines, etc. If I can find a picture, I will post it!
2  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: HULAween party! on: September 13, 2007 12:31:54 PM
What a great idea! We are doing the same this year!  Smiley Oriental Trading Company has plates, etc. that are on clearance from last year that are skeletons in hula skirts. We're going to make leis out of candy pumpkins and candy corn, tiki torches in the front yard when guests enter at night, etc.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Record bowls, easiest gift ever! on: August 07, 2007 11:02:08 AM
Can I ask a stupid question? I made these with my MIL and we melted them over a bowl in the oven. When we pull the record out after it starts to melt, do we then need to transfer it to a second bowl on the inside to get it to keep the form? We had a hard time getting them to look any different - they all had the same shape, regardless of what we melted them over!
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Something Sweet? on: August 06, 2007 11:54:05 AM
Sorry - I probably didn't describe well enough  Huh...

I need to bring something sweet that is a gift (not a dessert to pass). We swap bags (like a Christmas swap) and the theme this year is "something sweet". I was trying to avoid candy, since I'm sure that's what everyone else will bring!

Hi! I'm going to a party on Thursday night that has a gift swapping as part of the party. I need to bring a $10 gift card and something sweet. We've done this before and everyone always brings all sorts of candy - I was hoping to come up with something that was sweet, but unique! Any ideas?!
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Mother's Day / Photo magnets with clear marbles? on: May 09, 2007 11:50:22 AM
I once saw a project on some TV show that took pictures and made magnets out of them using see-through marbles? Anyone know what I'm talking about? I wanted to make them for my mom and MIL for M-day, but I couldnt' find pics/directions.

I just LOVE the Big Ben fabric! I've seen the Eiffel Tower fabric, but not BB! Very cute and I'm sure she'll love all of it!
