This is SO much fun! Such an epic and personal gift for a Potterhead ^^
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / An Overload of Damaged Black Tights on: November 13, 2015 12:49:14 PM
So I wear a lot of sheer black tights. I wear them 4-10 times on average before they're ripped up beyond repair (we're talking top to bottom ladders and holes at the toes that I can fit my entire foot through), and this sadly means that I also throw away a lot of them, generally one pair each week. It doesn't matter what brand I use; the expensive ones don't last much longer than the cheap dollar store kind. I guess I just live a tights-unfriendly life.

However, I feel like a horribly wasteful person sending so much of these to the landfill. Is there any craft I could do with ripped up nylon tights? Or is there a way to otherwise recycle them? Tips to increase how many times you can wear them would be very welcome too (Or if you happen to have found THE perfect brand of near-indestructible tights Please share!)

Very interesting and unusual design! I like the colors.. it kinda makes me think of a butterfly wing, for some reason.
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: 7 Minute Chocolate Cake In A Mug! (Tutorial) on: November 11, 2015 12:25:19 PM
I finally got around to making this last night, and only realized after melting the chocolate and butter that we had no eggs in the house. *facepalm* I subbed in half a very ripe banana and approx. 2 tbsp of milk, and left out the sugar. It came out great!

It took a while longer to cook, about 2:20, which I think was entirely due to the ingredient change. It also did not rise almost at all - I'm not sure how much of that was because of not having the egg, and how much was using the short and stout mug. All in all though, it was totally delicious!

Yay! I'm so happy it worked out for you! The ingredient switch sure sounds daring I would probably have panicked if I was missing an ingredient; I'm terrible with that sort of thing
Dough that doesn't rise is usually caused by either low fluid content, insufficient acidity of the dough, or lack of rising agent. Although, if it did rise a bit it might indeed just be the shape of the cup. (In any case, I've found that this recipe doesn't need a lot of rising to be yummy, and I'm super glad you thought is was delicious! ^^)
