51  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Care Bear cross stitch on: January 25, 2016 12:12:11 AM
I just submitted this over in the Nerd Games thread as a research project. This took about 50 hours to complete. I can't wait to get it framed and hung on my wall!
52  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Three Bears cross stitch on: January 13, 2016 01:57:06 AM
I found this pattern for three little bears that I thought were too cute to not make. There's no actual cross stitches in this. It's all back stitch. I used a dark blue floss since the Aida cloth is light blue. I love how it looks done all in one color.

53  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Funshine/Care Bear cross stitch on: January 13, 2016 01:54:17 AM
I love the Care Bears. Tenderheart is my favorite. In fact, I'm working on a Tenderheart cross stitch right now. But when I saw this sewing pattern for Funshine, I just had to make it. This picture has actually been the photo on my lock screen since I got my first iPhone back in 2010. It makes me smile every time I see it. Smiley

54  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Frederick the Cat counted cross stitch on: January 13, 2016 01:51:32 AM
This was made from a cross stitch kit I picked up in 2003. I didn't finish it until a few months ago. I submitted it as a research project over in the Nerd Games. I love cats and books, so this was the perfect project for me!

55  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Lion counted cross stitch on: January 13, 2016 01:48:21 AM
I recently got into doing counted cross stitch again. This particular project is from a rather long time ago. I started and finished it when I was 15. That was... geez, 17 years ago. I recently found it shoved into a box. Finding this is what motivated me to finish another project which I'll post in its own topic.

56  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Free crochet puppy pattern on: May 12, 2015 10:54:09 AM

I decided to make a crocheted puppy plushie yesterday, and remembered that I had used a pattern on Ravelry for a puppy lovey that was super cute. The only problem with using the pattern was that it was for only the head and front paws. I wanted a whole puppy.

So using the original lovey pattern, I built off of it to create my very own adorable puppy! I messaged the original pattern creator for permission to share my edited pattern, and she was generous enough to allow me to share! So if you're looking for a project that you can finish in an afternoon, this one is fast and simple. It makes a great stash buster project. 57  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Scrabble Tile bookmark on: September 05, 2014 10:38:56 PM
I created this Scrabble bookmark for a Nerd Games prompt.

I decided to make the graphs for the entire alphabet. The entire chart can be found for FREE here: http://storerboughtcreations.weebly.com/free-patterns.html

If you choose to use the recommended hook and crochet thread, a five letter name would make a great bookmark. A longer name will just create a longer bookmark. If you know someone with a long name, I suggest using a worsted weight yarn and an H or I hook. You could create a really fun scarf for a friend!

I chose to sew some black felt to the back of the bookmark I made. Not only does it add more support, it hides all the ends that I chose not to weave in! I think I will have to make a few more of these myself as fun Christmas gifts.
