1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Tracking Update on: May 03, 2019 01:12:33 AM
Tracking Update:

We've finished the fourth month of our first annual Games! Here is your tracking update. I will update at the beginning of every month with point updates and battle winners from the previous month.

So far this season, we have 12 active players. *159 projects have been posted so far.

Here is where each team stands currently:

*You may notice that the total projects posted and the totals from the table differ. I separated out the throwback projects from the table totals as those projects aren't worth any points, so adding in those projects effects team averages.

Monthly Battle Winners:
January: Crossover
February: Console
March: Venus de Milo
April: Drowzee/Malasian Tapir

To see what projects you have already submitted this season, click on Nerdly to get to the Data Depot. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I am more than happy to help!

Prompt: May - Battle - *NSYNC
Team: multimedia
Bonus Points: timely, WIP It
Project Name: Lyon the lion
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I was intending to make this for my soon to arrive niece, but it has too many small choking hazards (all the hair pieces I attached could come off). So I think Ill send it along for big sister as her birthday present. I started this almost five months ago and then left it. All I had left to do was make one more leg, the tail, and attach the over 500 strands for the mane.

I went with *NSYNC because I used to love them (in fact, they were the first concert I ever went to when I was 16), and because Justin Timberlake sometimes had a little fro going, just like my lion.

Smeddley, I love all of your drawings. When I was 13 or so, my mom found an electric hot plate (I think thats what youd call it... it was like a little lap tray sized table. You plug it in and it keeps your food warm as you eat), and rather than use it for food, wed put paper down on it and use crayons to draw/color. They melted nicely, and made some fun projects. Maybe you could try something like that for a smoother color?

Bonus Points:
Project Name: green and white dress
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: The overskirt and underskirt are both lacy patterns. I am not sure what I'll do with this dress, but I couldn't resist making another one in this pattern. I love how it looks, and it's fun to work up.

I took a better photo of my just peachy dress, so I thought Id share it here.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / just peachy dress on: April 18, 2019 10:47:13 PM
I made this dress for my future niece. It should fit a size 3-6 months. I've found that making newborn sized clothing is almost always a waste of time. IF the baby even fits into newborn sizes, they outgrow the clothes so fast. This will hopefully get at least a few wears out of it. And it may even fit the right sized stuffed animal once it no longer fits. I hope my sister in law loves it! ,<3

The color is a little off. I didn't want to wait until morning to take a photo with natural light. The main color is antique white, the under skirt and rose are a peach color. I believe the actual color name is sherbet. And now I am craving an orange dreamsicle bar :p

Edited to add a better photo:

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mermaid tail set on: April 15, 2019 06:28:03 PM
I recently finished making a mermaid tail set, and I wish it was in adult sized! I love how it turned out!

My brother and his wife are expecting a little girl in August, so I made this mermaid tail and sand dollar top for my niece-to-be. I hope they get some adorable photos!

This was my first time doing the crocodile stitch. I got about 20 rows into my original attempt and realized I was either doing it wrong, or doing it another way would look nicer. Im glad I frogged, because it looks much better!
