Project Name: Hot pad #1
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I found a bag of 20 wooden curtain rings at a thrift store a year ago. I picked them up and haven't been able to figure out what to use them for, until recently. I decided I'd use them to make a few hot pads to send along to my mom for Mother's Day, but then I couldn't find the darn things. Finding them took way longer than the actual project. It took me about 20 minutes from start to finish to make this. I didn't follow a pattern.

Project Name: Hot pad #2
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I made a second one to send along. I have enough rings left to make three more hot pads, which I fully intend on doing. I love how the colors turned out with this one. These both measure about 6.5x6.5 inches

Project Name: Doll makeover
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I decided my niece's doll needed a make over. Her hair was so tangled, I had to cut the elastic bands out holding her hair in pigtails. I then sprayed her hair with a water bottle and applied conditioner to smooth her hair. I spent over 90 minutes just untangling her hair. I spent another 45 minutes on her hairdo, and more than three more hours on the dress.

Project Name: Eyelet washcloth

Brief Description: I learned how to do the crochet cast on for this washcloth, and it is my new favorite cast on method! Another washcloth for my mom. I'm sure you guys are getting tired of these already. Sorry/not sorry! :p

Project Name: Towel topper
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I added a hunter green towel topper to a hand towel to hang from the fridge or oven handle in the kitchen. I had to learn how to do the embroidered chain stitch into the towel so I could crochet into the chain along the top of the towel. I love how it turned out!

Project Name: Green washcloth
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I'm making washcloths for my mom for Mother's Day. A few years ago, she visited during Christmas and took home about 20 crocheted washcloths I had made up. I intended for her to take 4 or 5. She took 20... soI know she loves handmade cloths. Smiley I still have some of the crocheted cloths from back then in a tote, so I'll be sending those along with some fun knit cloths in various patterns.

This is green, the same color that represents TEAM MULTIMEDIA!

Project Name: Knitted hanging towel
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I am a million times slower at knitting than I am with crochet. This towel took forever to knit, but I love it and plan on making more of these! I need to remember to make the "handle" part of the towel a few rows longer next time. It barely fits around our oven handle. I hope that it fits around my parents oven handle well enough. There was A LOT of counting, calculating, and measuring involved in making this towel.

Project Name: Pink trivet
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Along with the washcloths I'm sending to my mom, I'm sending this trivet (hot pad). Once I watched a YouTube video, the last few rows made sense. But if YouTube wasn't a thing, I would have chucked this project out the window. I have a few more ideas for things to make that I'll send along Smiley

Project Name: scalloped potatoes
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: QueenHobo and I made some food for Easter. My contribution was scalloped potatoes. I put in a cup less milk than I was supposed to because I was tired and having a complete brain fart. I was freaking out, thinking I'd ruined the potatoes, but they turned out ok. Just a little dry.  I had help from KingHobo. He sauteed the onions and garlic for me, as well as put the potatoes into the oven and took them back out again. I'm terrified of the oven. These are one of about 5 things I will actually cook. I hate the kitchen.

Project Name: Unicorn with tutu
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I made this unicorn several years ago. A friend requested a unicorn, and loved this one I had already made. But she requested a blanket and tutu for it. She's giving it to one of her friends. I made sure both items are removable in case the recipient doesn't care for the extra items. The tutu ties shut, and I sewed a button to one of the hooves so that the blanket can be taken off. I think the tutu and blanket are a bit random, but it's not for me. :p

Im making another TARDIS with plastic canvas, but this time the top will light up!

Working with the large blunt crafting needle and trying to pull the yarn through the plastic canvas is killer on my finger tips. Does anyone have a suggestion for something that will give me better grip on the needle, and maybe some padding for my poor finger tips?

This will be an epic project for sure. I should have proposed it as a research project. Oops.

Project Name: Ollie stairs
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: My poor little old man cat, Ollie, needed some stairs to help him get on the bed. I wasn't sure he'd be able to figure out how to use the steps (he's not the brightest bulb in the bunch), but after we showed him how it worked, he seemed to pick it up fast enough. I'll be using this for the pet scavenger item.
