Team: multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: sunflower trivet

Prompt: March - Dying Slave
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Knit houndstooth pumpkin
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: A friend asked me to make some pumpkins for her. Knowing she loves houndstooth, I tried two different patterns for her. She didn't like either in the end. I actually quite like the knit one myself. The pumpkin on the right is for this prompt as the pattern looks very detailed even though it's actually pretty simple.
Project Picture:

Prompt: April - Caterpie/Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Caterpillar
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: crochet houndstooth pumpkin
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: My first attempt at the houndstooth pattern was actually a crocheted version, pictured in the photo above on the left. I was not a fan of how it turned out, so I tried the knit version next. This fits because pumpkins start as a flower then transform into a squash.
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: February - Playstation vs Nintendo 64
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Snowman #1
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Roler asked me to make two snowmen for her parents (they would be the front two in this photo). They are 3d since they are stuffed amigurumi. I'm using the red and green hatted snowman for this prompt.
Project Picture:

Prompt: April - Mudkip/Axolotl
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Snowman #2
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: The second snowman in the front in turqua and lime is also for roler's parents. I love snowmen. Once when I was living in Eastern WA, we got three feet over snow in a two hour period. We were helping my FIL shovel his driveway, but he only had two shovels. I decided to help by making a snowman... I started with a small snowball and started rolling it down the drive. By the time I reached the foot of the hill he lived on, the ball was so large that I couldn't move it anymore. It took my husband, my FIL, and me pushing together to get it out of the driveway. Oops! :p
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: April - Sandslash/Pangolin
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Snowman #3
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: My first cousin once removed asked me to make her a snowman as well in the turqua and lime colors (I shared an old photo in a Facebook memory, which both my cousin and roler saw and loved). Hers is the snowman in the back of the photo. This fits the prompt because snowmen are round.
Project Picture:
The same three snowmen, but with the flash on to see the colors a little better

Prompt: April - Poliwog/Translucent Tadpoles
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Pumpkin #1
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: The friend I tried making the houndstooth pumpkins for ended up asking me to make her a total of nine pumpkins. Three large ones and six small ones. I have this photo and another photo that shows the colors a little better. I'll share the other photo about halfway through posting since I didn't take individual photos of each pumpkin.

I'll start with the large red plaid pumpkin on the top back left. It fits this prompt because it has a distinctive pattern.
Project Picture:

Prompt: April -Chatots/Yellow Collared Lovebirds
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Pumpkin #2
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Next up is the large black plaid pumpkin on the top back right of the photo above. It has more than one color, and while monochrome, I think it still fits the prompt.
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: August - Bard
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Pumpkin #3
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: This one is the small red pumpkin on the top row front left. This project requires crochet and sewing to complete
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: August - Druid
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Pumpkin #4
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: This one is the small black pumpkin on the top row front center. Pumpkins grow in nature when the real deal and not made of yarn Smiley
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: September - Castle
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Pumpkin #5
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: This one is the small red pumpkin on the top row front right. I used acrylic yarn for these pumpkins. Acrylic is a plastic and lasts a very long time.
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: October - Pumpkin Puree
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Pumpkin #6
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: This one is the small black pumpkin on the lower left. These are pumpkins. Well, crafted ones. If they were real, I could make a pumpkin puree. :p
Project Picture:
Same photo, different lighting

Prompt: October - Cinnamon
Team: Multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Pumpkin #7
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: This is the large red pumpkin on the bottom row center. The darker red/wine color used in the red plaid pattern is a reddish brown color.
Project Picture:

Prompt: November - Free Range 1

Bonus Points: timely
Project Name: Pumpkin #8

Prompt: November - Battle - Desserts
Team: multimedia
Bonus Points: timely
Project Name: Red plaid big pumpkin
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: One of my most favorite memories of Thanksgiving with my grandma was the year we made dinner together. I stayed the night at her place so I could help do prep the night before, and we were up early the day of to start cooking. On prep night, we baked some pies. Pumpkin is my favorite, so I asked her, "This smells really good and looks just as delicious, but how do we know if it tastes as good as it smells and looks?" We had two pumpkin pies baked (I think this was the year that we had 25 people at the house), and she took a knife and cut out small circles from the middle of each pie. We got our small taste, and of course it was delicious!

The next day, grandma insisted that only her or I get the pies out to bring to the table. We hid our devious pie tasting with big dollops of whipped cream on the center of each pie. Cheesy
Project Picture:

Prompt: November - Turkey
Team: multimedia
Bonus Points: timely
Project Name: red plaid small pumpkin
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I made a smaller version of the pumpkin using smaller checks. I've decided that I like the large checks on the bigger pumpkins, and the small checks on the smaller pumpkins. We will decorate our living room with these to help feel more festive.
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: October - Nutmeg
Team: multimedia
Bonus Points:
Project Name: black and white small check pumpkin
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I don't like how the smaller checks look on the larger pumpkins. I feel like the pattern is too busy. But I plan on using the smaller checks to make many more small pumpkins.
Project Picture:
see above

Prompt: November - Mashed Potatoes
Team: multimedia
Bonus Points: timely
Project Name: black and white large check pumpkin
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: This uses several different materials; yarn, polyfil, hot glue, a cork, and raffia.
Project Picture:

Prompt: November - Gravy
Team: multimedia
Bonus Points: Timely
Project Name: moose lovey
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I finally got back a little bit of my crafting mojo, so I made a lovey. A family friend back in Fairbanks, AK is pregnant, and I think this will go to her in a few months when she has her baby shower. This fits the prompt because the moose is on top of the blanket base.

Tracking Update:

Before I begin, I'd just like to say that during this often hectic season, remember that STRESSED spelled backwards is DESSERTS. So when you feel too stressed, kick back and craft, or bake something delicious to enjoy as you relieve your stress! Yay for the holiday season!

Hi everyone! Here is your most current tracking update!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Smeddley has been kind enough to take over creating prompts until we hear from LovelyMiss. I am unable to edit the Prompt Palace post, so I have added the new prompts under the Data Depot. You can find it by scrolling a little further down the first page of the Nerd Battles, or you can also click on Nerdly at the bottom of this post. He'll take you directly there.

Also, a plea to those of you that have a bunch of projects you will be posting before this season ends on December 31! If you would kindly start posting projects by the end of this month or beginning of December, I would really appreciate it! I am looking forward to seeing the project dumps that I know are coming. I love looking at all of the amazing things everyone can do. Smiley

Tracking Update:

Hi everyone! I apologize for taking so long to get caught up on tracking. I am all caught up now, so if you check your checklist in the Data Depot and see that something is missing, let me know (I guarantee I didn't miss tracking the project, I just may have missed ticking off the box).
