1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Looking for unique wedding shower invitations know any good stores? on: April 12, 2014 12:35:20 AM

Hey all, I'm going through the process of planning out my wedding and I was looking for unique invitations for my shower.  I want them to be cute and memorable, but artsy and unique.  I don't want the same kind of invitations you saw at someone else's wedding, you know what I mean?

I was just curious if anyone knew of any shops, online or not, that might have the kind of bridal shower invitations I'm looking for?  And although I know getting married can be expensive, I'm not trying to spend more than I have to but I still want high-quality products!

I was looking at this site called Tickled Pink Invitations, and they have the kind of styles I'm into, but I'm not sure about their prices.  They even have some cute baby shower invitations, but that won't be happening any time soon.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks, ladies!
2  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Herby onion bread on: April 02, 2014 05:43:49 PM
Looks insanely tasty and sounds like it is too! I'll have to try, and hopefully I'll get enough time tomorrow if the kids are out for long enough. Wonderful, thanks!
3  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Sweet roasted carrot "hummus" on: April 02, 2014 05:40:04 PM
I made this the other day, and reduced the honey a little since I prefer non-sweet in terms of hummus. But it was excellent, and no doubt I'll be doing this again, many times, thank you!
4  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Blended Pineapple Lemonade! on: April 02, 2014 05:34:48 PM
I tried your recipe in a normal blender and worked really well, thanks! I added a dash or two of Worcester Sauce, just to give it some "kick". I might try Tabasco sauce the next time. Thanks for sharing!
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Can you paint veenered wood? on: April 02, 2014 05:27:37 PM
If you sand the veneer lightly you can then apply a primer. Once the primer is dry, apply a further coat. Then simply coat over the surface with your desired paint. Apply at minimum a couple of coats, although it may take as many as four coats to get the desired finish. Best of luck!
