1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Felted intarsia and acrylic yarn on: October 23, 2009 08:26:45 AM
So I'm knitting a bag out of Noro and I want to add an intarsia design in Night Lights' Glow in the Dark yarn which is 100% Nylon. If I were to felt the bag what would happen? I know the synthetic wouldn't felt but would it get drawn tight by the wool? would it get all lumpy or loopy?

Here is the image I want to incorporate
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Ianto Jones Munny on: September 20, 2009 09:15:38 PM
Not the best pictures, but I painted a Munny to look like Ianto Jones, the character played by Gareth David Lloyd on the BBC show Torchwood. I gave it to him at Dragon Con 2009 and I do believe he really liked it. I was told he had it on his signing table the whole day (I'm still searching for a shot of the doll on the table, I was really busy tha day and ran into him in the morning)

Anyway, pics!

Its really difficult to photograph a rounded surface and not  have it look incredibly wonky

Slight discoloring on the "butt" where I cut the tail off too deep.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help me decide what to knit on: November 20, 2007 05:09:51 PM
So i returned from my journey to NC with 1200 yards of Interlacement's KANSAS. It is a medium weight yarn which is 85% rayon and 15% flax. But I now have no idea what to do with it. Help me out here.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Craft workshops on: October 14, 2007 07:37:19 PM
I wasn't sure where to post this. I'm looking for fiber arts workshops that are one to two weeks long. Something that deals with immersion in the techniques and is preferablly in a small town or in the country. I can travel anywhere in the continental united states or canada. I found one or 2 promising programs in the back of my Fiberarts magazine but I want more options. Any help would be great.
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / anatomic candles on: July 29, 2007 07:20:53 PM
Unusual query but since it ultimately has to do with decorating I'd figure I'd put it here...Ever since seeing Harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban I have been fascinated by the candles in Lupin's office seen here

I really want these candles. does anyone know where to get anatomical molds?
