1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dragon on: June 21, 2017 03:59:32 PM
This piece took longer than I care to admit, each scale had to be added individually, shaded and textured - but i'm super chuffed with how it turned out!
With real lava bead and red howlite stone
(More info Links in bio/sig)

4" H x 5" W (10cm x 13cm)

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Chesney the cheshire cat on: March 23, 2017 12:45:02 PM
As mentioned in the previous post here's my second attempt at a cheshire cat doll Smiley
This time i skipped the flocking and painting stage and focused on adding colour with coloured clays and pigment powders
I think i prefer this as it's more colour and life - but i also really like the fuzziness of the other guy.
So now i'm torn between the two haha

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Chester the cheshire cat on: March 23, 2017 12:19:50 PM
Hello! Long time no post!

This guy was a huge leap out of my comfort zone, But I finally remade the cheshire cat using everything i've elarned since the first attempt in 2014 (Photo at the bottom)
I've also made a second guy since but i'll post that seperately so that i don't clog up this post with photos
Hope yous like!

Handsculpted and textured solid parts using no moulds, which i then hand painted, coloured and shimmered.
The smile glows in the dark smile as do the claws
Body and tail created using faux fur that I hand coloured and the fluffy cheeks were applied tuft by tuft
I added some fuzzy flocking on the wrists and face to help blend - it took away from all the paintwork and texturing however so i think i'll scrap this stage in future
Semi pose-able: Limited movement in their limbs and tail the armature is weighted - it almost feels like holding a real kitten!

Youre mad Bonkers. Off your head

Can you stand on your head?

Curiouser and curiouser

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Galaxy paintings on: June 04, 2016 05:24:04 PM
A couple of weeks ago I had a painting binge and painted a whole heap!
Here are a few - i won't post them all as it'd take forever
(More can be found on my other sites - links in sig)

I made the little boards myself and painted them with acrylics
I turned one of the larger pieces into a clock <3

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Wee Beasties on: May 19, 2016 11:14:24 AM
A few months back i made a few little art dolls, I couldnt get decent photos then somehow forgot to try again. So on a dunny day the other week (Rare in Scotland!) I took them outside for some natural light photos

All these little guys were created using no pattern, handsewn and hand sculpted.
The limbs, face and extras were made using sculpey premo polymerclay

I really want to make a whole heap more - they're too cute ^_^
Ive a bunch more work here on craftster and links in the sig for those wish to see more Smiley

EDIT: readded photos as the first post had 4 of the same image - sorry!

9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Phoenix Sculpture on: February 26, 2016 10:49:32 AM
This is the biggest and most challenging piece i've ever made and was such a amazing learning experience - Being able to spend a little extra time popping in detail was amazing!

Apologies for the awful editing

Work in progress

10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Iguana Plaque on: February 04, 2016 05:31:29 PM
This piece was part trade/part commission for a fellow crafter as a gift to her Mum.
The Iggy was based of one of the family pets and entirely hand sculpted and painted, This was a amazing piece to work on and such a beautiful creature to draw inspiration from!
