1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Phoenix on: September 27, 2017 09:06:07 AM
I've a whole army of dragons to upload, so I'll spread them out, here's a Phoenix I created for funsies!
This big guy has been residing in my living room along side a family of foxes as I'm not quite prepared to give it up to a forever home yet lol
Each little feather was shaped, added and textured by hand, and a lot of the colours were custom blends through trial and error
(More work can be found through Fb, IG, Twitter, Pinterest, DA etc)

As with all my latest creations it's made from polymer clay with shading added using pigments and pastels.
I'm thinking the next project will be a Gryphon/Griffin as i'm really enjoying making the wings!

2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Fae Dragon on: September 27, 2017 08:57:41 AM
Hello! I've been silent over here for way too long, so i'm long over due a posting session.
I have LOADS to share, but i don't want to clog up the forums - so i'll spread them out
For those that don't want to wait i've loads of projects uploaded over on my Fb, IG, Twitter, Patreon, Deviant Art etc (Links/Tags in sig)

I started working on  larger sculpts (3"-5") with a bit more detail and bases
So here's one of the first ones I made - i have a few work in progress photos if anyone is particularly interested in seeing them I can edit and upload.
It's pretty much the same process as my lil figurines (Which boy oh boy i've hundreds of new ones since my last post) (Literally hundreds)

Everything is created using polymer clay, with some added colouring using pigments and pastels

3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Colours on: September 27, 2017 08:51:01 AM
How did you get the colors to glow out like that? Is he painted or entirely clay?

Entirely clay Smiley
Just lots of layering (And temper tantrums lol)

Thank you everyone Cheesy
Surprisingly i didn't have to use paint on this dude - which was a massive challenge!
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dragon on: June 21, 2017 03:59:32 PM
This piece took longer than I care to admit, each scale had to be added individually, shaded and textured - but i'm super chuffed with how it turned out!
With real lava bead and red howlite stone
(More info Links in bio/sig)

4" H x 5" W (10cm x 13cm)

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Chesney the cheshire cat on: March 23, 2017 12:45:02 PM
As mentioned in the previous post here's my second attempt at a cheshire cat doll Smiley
This time i skipped the flocking and painting stage and focused on adding colour with coloured clays and pigment powders
I think i prefer this as it's more colour and life - but i also really like the fuzziness of the other guy.
So now i'm torn between the two haha

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Chester the cheshire cat on: March 23, 2017 12:19:50 PM
Hello! Long time no post!

This guy was a huge leap out of my comfort zone, But I finally remade the cheshire cat using everything i've elarned since the first attempt in 2014 (Photo at the bottom)
I've also made a second guy since but i'll post that seperately so that i don't clog up this post with photos
Hope yous like!

Handsculpted and textured solid parts using no moulds, which i then hand painted, coloured and shimmered.
The smile glows in the dark smile as do the claws
Body and tail created using faux fur that I hand coloured and the fluffy cheeks were applied tuft by tuft
I added some fuzzy flocking on the wrists and face to help blend - it took away from all the paintwork and texturing however so i think i'll scrap this stage in future
Semi pose-able: Limited movement in their limbs and tail the armature is weighted - it almost feels like holding a real kitten!

Youre mad Bonkers. Off your head

Can you stand on your head?

Curiouser and curiouser
