1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Easy and Yummy Apple Sandwiches on: January 13, 2010 05:43:36 PM
Okay, so I can't take credit for this recipe, I stole the idea from a local coffee shop. It is easy and tasty, and only requires a few ingredients.

Grilled Apple Jack Sandwiches

You will need:

Your favorite kind of pita or ciabatta bread (I recently found these small "sandwich thins" that work perfectly)
Monterrey Jack cheese
1 Golden Delicious apple
1 Yellow onion
A "George Foreman" grill, toaster oven, or conventional oven

First, slice everything up...the amount of everything depends on your taste. I usually put about 5 slices of apple, 4 small onion slivers, and 4 slices of cheese.

Then, layer the cheese, apples, onion, and another layer of cheese.

Put the lid on the sandwich and pop it in the "George' for about 6 minutes (the cheese will ooze out, but it will be wonderfully golden and crusty).

Let the sandwiches cool for a few minutes or you will scorch your mouth!

This is me and my hubby's favorite quick and healthy meal...I hope you enjoy! Please let me know if you have any questions about the recipe.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Can mold grow in a can of paint? on: September 02, 2009 03:38:22 PM
I have a can of low odor interior house paintthat I didn't hammer down the lid in between painting sessions, and it has grown a fuzzy layer of white stuff around the rim! Can paint mold? I didn't think this was possible and I can't find anything on the Internet about it, so I was wondering if anyone here has experienced the same thing. If so - is it actually mold, or something else? I'm very disturbed by this and want to know if it is safe to paint with.
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Capri Sun Christmas Stocking on: October 16, 2005 08:01:15 PM
So, I had all these left over Capri Sun juice packets left over from purse projects and I came up with this.

Let me know if the link to the photo works (or doesn't work) !

This is the Madonna box that I created several years ago....it holds my most treasured mementos.  I know its not very original, but I was clicking through all the different decoupage projects on this site and wanted to share this with you guys. Hope you like it!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Wedding Flip Flops on: June 15, 2005 05:33:54 PM

I really have no idea how to do this picture posting stuff....but the photo is in the gallery under Wedding Flip Flops......these were really simple and fun to make. My best friend is getting married and wanted to wear something comfortable under her big poofy dress. Let me know what you think of them!
