heya all.. im planning on making my formal dress and i've never made formalwear before and im not really familiar with fabrics and all so i was just wondering... what would be a cheap, easy to sew formal-ish fabric?? oh yeah.. and something that's not too shiny.. should i just use some cotton kinda fabric??

i recall hearing that up until recently, mccalls patterns did not include seam allowances ... but what about simplicity??? i purchased twO patterns.. from the 70s.. and they're both simplicity..... would they have seam allowances or not??

i [heart] giordano jeans muchly, but one problem is they wear out quickly in the crotch area... O_o;; ... and so two pairs of precious but worn giordano jeans were sitting in my room and i decided i had to do something about it.. this is what i came up with:

so my dad works at this computer company and their size small sweatshirts are ... well, huge. hahah. and yeah. they always give out free stuff (probably leftovers, coz no one wanted to buy them) so my dad gave me one and i managed to make this from it::

infamous mirror shot.. im wearing it with jeans coz its too short to be a dress.. even though that's what it's supposed to be. so i'll just wear it as a top i guess...
