11  the rasta godess and bob marley stencil --updated! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ragamufyn on: August 02, 2005 08:35:09 PM
I made this rasta godess skirt and Bob Marley stenciled shirt today.  The stencil was the first stencil I have attempted and could be done better with experience.  The shirt is made out of hemp jersey and the skirt is made out of linen and has red, green & gold ribbon accents around the bottom hem.  Hope you like!  Sorry bout the darkness of the photos.  My house has zero light at night.

12  Re: Vintage Chicken or Egg and updated Groovy Green Vase Handbags (lots-o-images) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ragamufyn on: July 14, 2005 10:41:07 PM

Here's my new Groovy Green Vase Handbag with fabric handles (thanks for the great idea , Flareon)!!

Any suggestions for the closure?  Right now it's a yellow ribbon with a big blue button cuz that's all that I had that would come close to working.

13  Vintage Chicken or Egg and updated Groovy Green Vase Handbags (lots-o-images) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ragamufyn on: July 07, 2005 11:54:29 PM
I got some of the same fabric as DoulaDo and made my first Chicken or the Egg Handbag today.  I keep finding myself questioning the fur at the top... Like or Dislike?

14  Phunky & Furry Henrieta Inspired Pants in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by ragamufyn on: June 25, 2005 06:25:24 PM
I made thesee pants for the New Years Eve Phish Show a year and a half ago. (how I miss them!)  I saw the fabric and it was reminisent of Fishman's (Henrieta's) dress so I had to have it.  I dressed it up with some $40/yd fur that I just HAD to have and lived in my stash for a while.  (impulsive fabric buys that expensive probably only happen before kids!)  Also dressed it up with sequins and fur trim down the side, tuxedo style, and between every dot I hand applied lavendar rhinestones.
Here's the picts:

And Henerieta her......um....I mean.......himself on the shirt

16  Triangular Cutout Bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by ragamufyn on: June 23, 2005 05:25:52 AM
I saw the rectangular cut out bag and the circular cutout bag so I had to make my own.  The Triangular cutout bag!  This is my first attempt at a cutout bag of any kind and it wasn't too bad once my brain caught up with the rest of me.  After I took this picture I pressed the seams which makes it look a lot less round.  I put hidden magnetic clasps inside for the closure.  I know I'll do better on my next one especially the cut out part and I'll add some support on the bottom and the handle area.

Has anyone seen this on Craftster?

17  1st Reconstruction: I (heart) New York dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by ragamufyn on: June 20, 2005 04:50:22 PM
A rainy afternoon and a pile of t-shirts led us to this.  With the kids asleep we decided to try our hand at doing a reconstructed tube top.  Well, it turned into more than a tube top as you can see.  It is consturucted of an I (heart) New York t-shirt and some red, black and red/white stripe knit fabric.  DoulaDo is modeling it and looks quite fine! Yes?

18  Harley Davidson Clown Costume (Lots-O-Picts) in Costumes: Completed Projects by ragamufyn on: June 17, 2005 04:43:14 PM
I've got some clients who are professional clowns so from time to time they need new costumes.  Here is the result of one of them giving me a shirt (the tie dyed one) and creative freedom to do what I wished. She works a family day at the Harley Davidson Store every year and wanted a costume for it.  All she asked was that I incorporate a Harley Davidson handkerchief into the design (that's the black fabric with the logos).  I only used one of them!

20  Asian Inspired Window Shade in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by ragamufyn on: June 10, 2005 06:00:52 PM
Maybe not quite a window shade but more of a window decoration.  I made this using some wooden trim, nails, black paint, vellum (paper) and a little math.  I've got two of them in my asian inspired dining room and plan on making another for the kitchen.  Now I've just got to get a little more Craftsterized to take down the wall that sepateres the two...
