61  Re: Reading is Sexy Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by mllejessy on: August 18, 2005 02:31:01 PM

And this would be a picture of me, DRUNK, in the faaaaaaaaaabulous shirt I got from stopmoshun.
More pics of the stuff I got from her to come, I swear!
(It says "The Loveliest Librarian" and fits like a dream!)

Here's the stuff I sent Stopmoshun.  Sorry about the quality of the pics--I'm still getting used to this camera.
This is the book I made.  I forget who I got the idea from, but someone on the paper/book recycling board made a blank book by glueing paper over text.  This used to be a picture book called The Twelve Dancing Princesses.

This is the magnet that says "If the Bookmobile's Rocking" on a background from an old green and blue whaley raincoat.

a card from a cheesy thrifted romance novel and an envelope from Eloise

and the shirt, which, in my opinion, is the best of the bunch

(this was actually my first stencilling attempt)

63  Puzzle postcards in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by mllejessy on: July 11, 2005 03:45:37 PM
I'm showing off all sorts of things I made, after finally getting a digital camera.

I thrifted the puzzles, put them together, then modpodged into about 3x5 pieces, then used as collage bases.  They go through the mail, too!
This is a close up of some:

64  ugly end table turned tv stand in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by mllejessy on: July 11, 2005 03:33:26 PM

I should have also taken a close-up of the knobs.  I made them from shimmery blue and silver Fimo clay I had around after making my mom a dollhouse-sized menorah.
Ever try to find a dollhouse-sized menorah for sale?  It can't be done!

65  Re: Show me your craft "room"!! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by mllejessy on: July 11, 2005 03:28:53 PM
I purposely looked for a 2 bedroom apt so I could have a crafty room.

I don't, however, have a crafty table--just my computer desk, with my mostly useless computer hanging out on the floor around it.

I also need more crafty shelving!

66  pink circles and puzzle pieces in Completed Projects by mllejessy on: July 11, 2005 01:55:58 PM
Craft soundtrack: De-Lovely soundtrack, The Rogue Wave, The Jesus and Mary Chain.
This is the puzzle that took forever to finish, because of certain little fuzzy jerk cats.  You'll notice that there are still pieces missing.

Plus this:

Equals something else to make my hallway less boring!

I also think I'm going to print this on some shirts.

67  mermaid 'n' coatrack in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by mllejessy on: July 11, 2005 01:48:12 PM

The previous and really shifty tenants of my apt nailed a board to the wall, with nails in it, as a coat/key rack.  I covered it in old wallpaper I thrifted in Louisville (yeah, Unique!) and got white hooks at Walmart.

Last summer, I had a dream that I lived in a place with a living room big enough to have shows in and a mermaid on the refrigerator, so I made her.
