I love that skirt, anything special you did to make it? Awesome work though!

Um, no, my friend pretty much just cut a square (rectangle, actually) and then a hole in the middle. Oh! And the belt is like this denim ribbon we got at Joann's for $2. We haven't actually sewed it on yet.

I was over at my friend's house after spending a little time at our local fabric store. We had fun. My friend is modeling.

Please excuse the bra straps, my friend could not find her strapless bra.

Tie. Gold. AWESOME.

Square skirt with cool belt.
It's too short to be worn without pants or tights.

Thanks for looking.

Also, I got in the 1$ section at Target this pack of mini erasers that were like hamburgers, hot dogs, soda, french fries, and stuff, and I figured I could mix and match. Oh! And I also got two light weight mini rubber duckies. Cuz I love rubber duckies.

Thanks for making the tutorial even more clear. I was pretty sure I understood, but now I'm positive.

Now, if I could just get someone to drive me to the fabric store...
8  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: question about lacing and such on: July 17, 2005 08:01:41 AM
Well...

Check the back of the container of grommets. There are usually two slightly different sizes in your pack. One will be the front side and one the back. You esentially cut a teeny-weeny hole in your fabric (smaller than the finished size), work the grommet front through the hole, slip on the grommet back, and hammer together with a hammer and the tool that came with your grommets.

If they are eyelets and not grommets, they most likely came with two tools. One to punch the hole, then you work the eyelet through, put the other tool over the hole and hammer again.

Without seeing what exactly you have, it's hard to explain.

Thank you so much. Me being stupid, I didn't even buy the grommets, thinking they would have direction thinking they would have directions. I just thought "I should probably find out how to do this before I buy them."

I'm an idiot.

This may sounds stupid, but how in the world do you attach grommets?
