11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / suspended trader list? on: January 13, 2006 04:41:25 AM

12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: tori amos swap? on: January 05, 2006 04:59:19 AM
wow.  i am glad to see that there have been responses to this idea.

i wouldn't mind being the organizer, the only problem being is that i am living in japan right now and will be for the next year or so.  i did check the rules and they didn't say anything about not being able to participate or organize if you aren't living in the us.

please feel free to organize this swap if you would like to.  if no one does in a couple of weeks then i will, because i think it would be a fun one.

what kind of criteria would you guys want to see?  would it be a bag swap?  or some sort of secret tori treasure, or open ended, like enough to fit into a padded envelope of a certain size?
13  ASIA / Japan / Ogaki, Gifu area anyone? on: December 31, 2005 03:09:02 AM
hello.  i am currently teaching english in japan, and would love to find some crafty people.  i am in the Gifu prefecture, and am very close to Nagoya.

any information on stich and bitches, or the knitting prince of japan would be helpful.  i am also willing to do some swaps, etc, for fun japanese stuff.

my email address is [email protected]

the book i sent my partner was 'are you my mother'

she sent me:

*three soaps with little are you my mother planes in them (and they smell so yummy)
*a pair of knitting needles
*two skiens of fun smoke grey yarn
*a box full of stitch markers, made out of the characters that the little bird goes searching to as his mother
*a necklace that says 'snort'
and some blank bookmarks
