71  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Summer Clothing Idea on: July 23, 2005 08:30:17 PM
Anybody have an idea for something I can make out of a big 'Red Heart Super Saver' in a dark rose color?  Huh I want to make something I can wear this summer. I'm having trouble to decide because it's a thick yarn that I wanna get rid of and using it to add to my summer wardrobe would be great.
72  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Summer Time!! Yarns?? on: June 22, 2005 08:07:55 PM

Sooooo... I recently got this yarn... it's a pale peach skin color (though it's nowhere close to my skin) and I also have an orangey salmon color that I think looks great with it. I don't know what types they are, but i'm guessing that they're acrylic, 100%. My question for you guys is... how would this hold up in water?? chlorinated water?? I plan to wear it to camp next week if I get it done this weekend  Cheesy if it's not that great for water.. then... i'll just make shorts and a tank... but I like these colors though I'm not sure if they compliment my skin or not... but if I don't like it, i'll keep it on hold to sell to somebody it'll flatter instead of wearing it.  Wink

73  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Need Help with Ugly Seams and Gaping on: June 08, 2005 04:22:36 PM

I'm Tatyana, and i'm 13 years old... This is my first post!
I have a question. I made this shirt:

And I have two problems.

The sides gape open. I am a beginner sewer, this is actually my first project, so I have no idea what to do to fix this, because minimizing my chest via plastic surgery is not an option. (B/C34)

The waistline is really messed up. I don't know how I did it, but I did. I sewed the bottom piece to elastic to cause a little gathering plus to also eliminate wrinkles, and it does indeed make the shirt fit very well. How can I fix this?

Thank You!
