We've just been to our 1 show at the Fringe - we always have a paid show we go to, but our usual act (Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppets.. look them up on YouTube!! ;-) ) didn't attend the Fringe this year. Soooo... We got to see Danny Bhoy! Unfortunately no photos allowed, so I had to make do with the usual Fringe/Pleasance Little Visitor photo with the sign post. 😉

I usually leave it to the last minute as well, but will have a look at photobox to see if they have special offers on.

I'm still here, have tons of photos of Hermione, but am very busy until girls will be back to school in 2 weeks. Hope to post some photos soon though.

Latest one is from our trip to the cinema... we saw Spidey and War of the Planet of the Apes.

Prompt: July Battle - Fight the Dragon (Crone)
Team: Clan of the Makers
Bonus Points: Brain Power (new to using lining and only 2nd time of sewing anything bigger than a 12x12 patch)
Project Name: A Robe for Huffie
Project Link: Hogwarts Robe
Brief Description: Lots of people think that the students sorted into Hufflepuff House are not brave. However, we all have seen what Cedric Diggory managed in his short life... he showed bravery all through the TriWizard Tournament. And nobody can tell me that Newt Scamander was not a brave person!
Miss Martian (or "Huffie") has (along with her twin sister) asked me to make House Robes for their 6th birthday party. She has sorted herself into Hufflepuff House and we all hope this will be replicated by Pottermore when she is old enough to be sorted properly. Wink

Oh... and for me to make those robes ... from 5:30pm  to 2am (day of their party)  ... including LINING *shudder* ... I would claim that this required a lot of bravery from me, too!!

She picked my themes Garden and Science (for kids) ... and both patches are amazingly interactive! I absolutely ADORE them! Thanks sooo much!!

First the garden door ... with an adorable Gnome!

And then we have a plant pot... with all the plant needs hidden behind the leaves! FAB idea!!

While I was visiting family in Germany my package from Abbeeroad arrived... and it's fabulous! My girls declared they want to wear the T-shirts for their birthday present opening tomorrow, they absolutely LOVE their Pygmy Puffs, and the suncatcher looks great on the patio door (which needs a clean... errr...).

Thanks sooo much, Abbee, love the whole package! Thanks for IYP with me!

Oh, and the Crests on the T-shirts - I am not 100% sure if you used paint or vinyl? Can you pls enlighten me? Also... if paint... how did you do the stencilling? I've never put my cameo to that use yet...

Prompt:  Battle Royale JUNE - OLD CRONE
Team: Clan of the Makers
Bonus Points: Giver
Project Name: #AHEART4LDN
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: The UK has been rattled with attacks in Manchester Manchester London over the last 6 weeks. Someone on FB had started the group #AHEART4MCR and asked people to craft hearts which could be hung up all around Manchester to show love and support for the survivors and the families of the people who lost their lives. I had crocheted several hearts but was too late for the cut off date.
Then the unthinkable happened, as there was yet another attack in the UK just 2 weeks after Manchester, this time in London. A group of people started the FB group #AHEART4LDN and linked to the Manchester page, whose founder suggested for any hearts which didn't make it to Manchester to be send to London.
I reused the pattern for the crochet hearts and made more so I had a total of 10 which I sent in time to be hung up in London.

Oh my, things have been VERY busy here in June... run up to end of school year and all that! But Hermione had some fun here, and right now we're packing her trunk to come to Germany with us!

We did go and see Wonder Woman (VERY good film!!)

Then there were constant trips to B&Q (DIY shop) for our new decking...

And she came with me to my monthly craft group.

Ok, more pictures next week probably. Not sure if I can upload from Germany though, will see what I can do.
