Class/Challenge: Potions
House: Slytherin
Project Name & Page Link: Tigger Ears
Brief Description: Twin #1 is a big Tigger fan. And for our trip to Orlando this year I surprised her with these Tigger Ears! As I'd never done one of those ears before I followed the pattern to a T, down to the puffy paint.

2  Re: Traveling Little Visitor Swap Round 29 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Inselaeffchen on: August 09, 2019 05:09:05 AM
Very busy life since we got back from Florida! The first week we prepped the house for having 7 kids around for the twins' 8th birthday (far too many!! NEVER AGAIN!).

Then we started packing stuff in 2 of our spare rooms (who were stuffed full!) to go into storage - those will hopefully become the twins' individual bedrooms by end of October (we still have to paint and get new carpet done).

Mr Sparkles came along to the storage space and had lots of fun riding on the trolleys.

I also tried a recipe from CopyKat for the first time for our favourite salad from SweetTomatoes - "Joan's Broccoli Madness Salad" - it was absolutely amazing and tasted just like at the restaurant!!

Oh, and while we always try to avoid the City Centre during July/August (it's our big Festival time here.. about 4-5 different festivals I believe?!?! ), we always try to get a show in ... and always the same one. The "Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppets".  Kev is just great, and his improv is amazing! Cheesy This one was actually hubby shouting out the improv suggestion...  Grin

PS: Sorry, there's mild swearing there.

Circus Improv

With all the boxing up and prepping for school starting again and back to work stuff time just seems to fly by! I really have to start making the scrapbook!!! Shocked

In this round of the TM Patch Swap, you will be crafting for 1 or 2 partners (first time swappers will be limited to 1 partner) and from 1-3 patches (you and your partner should agree on the exact number).

Also, you will have the option of exchanging a TM Patch Supply kit with your partner (contents of kit may include: floss, fabric, embellishments {buttons, beads, ribbons, charms, etc}, poly-fil, etc.).

Let's keep this swap simple and limit it to the sending of patches and kits (if you love sending extra things, consider adding those as part of a kit  Smiley ).

There are lots of inspirational patches from previous swaps, so check out some of the galleries here:

A lot of things happened here, lots of sights for Mr Sparkles, but I'm not going to post it all here.

And only 12 days until Mr Sparkes (and Foxy from seeuudee) is going on his trip to WDW Orlando!! YAY!!

Sooo... I won tickets for the Wallace and Gromit Musical Marvels concert! It was great, lots of fun! And FREE! Cheesy

Last weekend he went with us to our Group Camp which was for a total of 44 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts! Plus about 8 or 9 leaders. Wink  We went to Beamish, an open air museum which has the areas split up by decades and is very interesting. Mr Sparkles even got to go into a Coal Mine! I couldn't find a miners helmet small enough though.

The Miners town had an older school building. Mr Sparkles was very interested in the fact of the proper blackboard and the pencils for the blackboards (and each table had their own little blackboards). He didn't agree with the second sentence on the board though!

We were allowed a small controlled fire pit, so that included singing. Mark, our cub leader, did nearly all the entertainment, including the "Llama Song". Wink

Loads more photos there, but I keep them all for BigBangMomma!! Cheesy

Just one last one from the weekend: Mr Sparkles really loved to drive back up from Northern England up to Scotland and enjoyed driving so close to the coast!

Mr Sparkles went with me to see Avengers: Endgame. Split date again, but a nice companion for me. Wink

He also helped me at work, doing photocopying for new timetables which came into force next week.

This week is "Week of Wellbeing" at school for the Junior High Kids, while some teachers still iron out the timetables for 2019/2020 and the seniors are on study leave for exams. During this week we do lots of fun things and some bigger trips (we have some students going to London, some are in France, some are Whitewater rafting... things like that), and today I chaperoned kids who went go carting (yes, I did drive as well!!) and playing laser tag (I sat that one out and enjoyed the sunshine).

Tomorrow and Thursday we'll be joining kids and teachers in going to Gravity (local trampoline park) and Thursday is even some crazy golf on the cards. Grin

Mr Sparkles had a very busy 2 weeks!!

First of all he went to ComicCon with us... ,

He stalked a (moving) Dalek..

Found a TARDIS...

and met the new actor of R2D2 (including a near lifesize Lego R2D2)!!

Then he went to Germany, had LOADS of yummie ice cream

saw some nice architecture in my mum's town and in an Open Air Museum

And went Black Light 3D Crazy golfing (among several other things)!

He also joined me to watch SHAZAM (after seing the lifesize cutout of Zach Levi at ComicCon).

On Saturday he'll come with me on a date to see Avengers: Endgame (grandparents are only coming back from a 5 week vacation and will have jetlag, therefore hubby and I will have to have a "split date" again).

Loads more to come for him in the next month!

Mr Sparkles arrived with some fabric scraps for me!

The twins love him already, and I'm glad he arrived before ComicCon and our trip to Germany. Smiley

I just need to figure out who's traveling this round and I'll get my signup filled out.

Meanwhile, relevant to our interests, I got a huge kick out of this article: https://www.sciencealert.com/astronauts-on-the-space-station-liked-spacex-s-earthy-toy-so-much-they-kidnapped-it

Apparently, SpaceX sent a little Earth plush on it's test launch of the Dragon to the ISS and the crew on the ISS kidnapped him and took pics all around the station with him! Grin Little Visitor: International Space Station Edition!

Ooooh... I love it!!! Smiley
