51  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Calendar Photos on: January 13, 2006 12:36:09 PM
I was just curious how others plan to recycle their calendars?  I'm making envelopes and cards with mine.
52  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Project that might offend, so here is a warning on: January 10, 2006 09:17:18 AM
Tomorrow I'll post the pictures...

My friend was in an Opera Choir in college and there was a guy Jesus (HEY-zoose) who was a total flake and often caused a lot of discord because he never paid attention during rehearsals.  One especially long night he ordered a pizza and didn't give specific enough instructions where to deliver it.  So during a run-through this delivery guy shows up and announces he has a "Pizza for Jesus" (GEE-zus).

This story has made me laugh over and over again.  I've used it for card I'm sending him next week.  I'm posting pictures tomorrow - but please don't check back to see them if you think you will be offended.

Hope this is fair warning.

53  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Collage Cards with beads, shells and stamps on: December 14, 2005 09:13:15 AM
Here is another card I made over Thanksgiving weekend.  I've been experimenting with adhesives and glued the little marbles and bead to the card as well as a shell and some old postage stamps.

The last two pics are of the accordion fold tags that I used.  My favorite materials to work with are left over water color paintings I'm not happy with.  I paint over them and use crayon.  I also like to heat crayons on to wax paper and then tear that up and use it along with rice papers.
54  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Collage Cards with pockets on: December 06, 2005 09:35:20 AM
I made some new collage cards/poetry pockets over Thanksgiving weekend.  I sent them out last week, so I'm beginning to hear back from my friends on both the art and and the poetry.  I've had so much fun with this project.  Here are pics from a card I made for a new mother.

the quote reads: Childhood smells like perfume and chocolate brownies

on the left is the clear pocket where I place a notecard with a poem
55  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Pockets for my poetry on: November 22, 2005 12:31:25 PM
I've been crafting these cards I call Poetry Pockets for my friends.  In each card there is a small pocket where I place one of my poems.  This way I can craft & write poetry & keep in touch with friends creatively.

this one says first drink

and this is the last page of the card where it ends with a fourth drink.  I don't think it would be proper to post the accordion folds with collage from the kama sutra

I got this idea from a card I saw online made with a rubber stamp of a martini glass
