1  Re: Weekend Trick or Treat Swap 2019 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by chase_acow on: October 23, 2019 01:56:06 PM
Everybody's stuff looks so good! Y'all really out did yourselves here!

I received my swap today, and it was lots of fun!

with bonus kitty exploring the fun new smells. :  ) I'm excited to try the candy, and there are some little doo dads for other crafting projects. There are a couple of packaged craft things, pencils, a Frankenstein tote, and the craft a fun spider-web yarn. It could be a worn thing, but I think I'll add it to the creepy cloth on my bookshelves.

Thank you very much EvilRachel!

the gallery looks so great, y'all! so much inspiration.  :  )

Due to some unfortunate series of events, I don't think my partner and I are going to get to swap. But I am pretty excited about the little doodad I made her, so here it is. I tried my hand at a clay gingerbread man, ala the movie Krampus. The white bits glow in the dark. The hook at the bottom is for catching greedy children. I was originally thinking to hand it on a door knob and let the bells jingle when it opened, but now I'm thinking about putting it on a wall.

I also bought these two giant crazy head pencils to send, because they seriously creeped me out.

So, I definitely forgot to take pics of all the stuff I made, because I got SUPER stressed at the end. But I did take a pic of the last day item because I was super proud of it. This is before I did a last round of detailing.

Since halblingefrau didn't post, I thought I would.

I'll plant my flag here.

woops, forgot to take a group photo! my bad.  :  )  Thank you so much for everything! I'm enjoying myself so far.

first up is a beware banner, that i hung in the kitchen b/c i have been putting off dishes, and things are starting to get a little dangerous. also, is this little Sam pendent! He's adorable. Trick'R'Treat is one of my favorite halloween movies!

socks and dangerous candy!  Good think I like to live dangerously. *pops a poisoned pill*

Here is two days worth. The first was the glass skull, and shots, packaged in the bigger bag which is super adorable fabric.

And the second day was the picture, which is applied to a wooden plaque and cute little baubles attached to tiny canvases!

Here we have a super adorable pumpkin bag, a cosmetic mirror dressed up for halloween, and a small tissue holder in awesome fabric!

Fun stuff! A gargoyle, a blinged pumpkins, some magnets, and a great chainsaw pole pen!  :  )  Guess what's going to work with me?!?

Great altered Krampus box with day of the dead skull suckers inside!

A fun little skull mug! And the most adorable AND well made little mug rug. I love the fabric so much, I'll be excited to use this year round.  :  )

My partner really picked out the cutest fabric to make all the bags and pouches out of. I'm really excited about the stationary package up there with the pen/pencil case and the ATC maker/embellish kit down there. Probably I'll use all the fun Halloween bits and bobs elsewhere as I have recently become obsessed with bullet journaling, but they're gonna look great! Also, the kitty was very curious.

CUPCAKES! Of an unknown origin, but I'm super excited to find out what they are! Also so much sprinkles and whatnot! It finally got a little chilly around here, so baking won't be so miserable.

12th and last goodie! I like this a lot and it'll be super easy to build a display from.  Thank you halblingefrau!

5  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Rd. 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by chase_acow on: December 06, 2014 03:37:08 AM
Everything has looked so good so far! I don't know how y'all are waiting until Christmas, I couldn't have. The snowman painting is so cute!

I'm a terrible person for not posting earlier, because I received such an awesome, well made, and thoughtful package from SheridanLA! She stalked my pinterest and really tailor made everything I could want for stocking stuffers and presents! She is amazing and I was _so_ lucky to get her. I hope you like your gifts nearly as much!

I also have to apologize that my pictures are crappy. My roommate has the real camera so I was stuck with my phone which does not do justice to the very pretty fabric and items Sheridan sent.  :  )

I love the stocking, it is perfect, and I know I'm going to have a hard time putting it away after the new year. The Lord of the Rings theme is perfect, the fabric is pretty, and the stitching is wonderful. I tried to make it better in my image editor, but I couldn't make it good enough. If you took pictures, Sheridan, please post them.

A pic of everything together:

There is a garland of holiday stars that I super love, a Star Wars cross-stitch that sums up my home, a to-go tea/mug carry bag, mug rug, and soothing mask all in my preferred color of orange. (The mask smells really wonderful, I'm glad you went ahead with the lavender!) There is also a Doctor Who necklace with wings and a "Don't Blink" tag, an orange glittered, wooden cut-out of my last name (the glitter has gotten everywhere, just as I like it). Not shown are some magnets up my fridge already, and some candy I've already chowed on. :  )

I admit, I asked for a marked gift that I could save and open on Christmas, but everything else was so wonderful, that I couldn't stand to wait. Sheridan again right off my pinterest, made a doily dreamcatcher, and it is going right up with the rest of my collection as soon as I get a moment. It's very lovely.

And finally, something I'm wearing right now, a fandom bracelet. It has all my favorites on it: Game of Thrones, Zorro, Captain America, Mass Effect, The Hobbit, Doctor Who, and Lord of the Rings!

Thank you and I want to apologize again that I got caught up in work stuff and had to delay opening and sending to you! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

6  Re: Movie/TV Show Swap round 2 gallery in The Swap Gallery by chase_acow on: September 30, 2014 11:10:27 AM
I recieved from my partner, rantyhippie, on Saturday I think, but I couldn't sit down and post pictures until now. Thank you so much, it's all very awesome.  :  )

So here is a plushie Groot, a needle Groot, a Han Solo, a quote from the movie The World's End, and a Yoda hat.

I thought the Yoda hat probably ought to be showed off better. Shipley helped.

Thank you for being a great swap partner! The gallery looks so good, everyone made such neat stuff!

Wizards_Pupil!  :  )  Thank you so much for swapping with me! I love everything you sent, and I'm very sad that I didn't get to post pics until now. The tablet case you sent is getting a good workout going back and forth to work with me. This is my very first hoop, and it now has a place in my geek corner, along with Thorin. He looks wonderful, you captured him awesomely. I'm plotting what I should do with the dragon, but I've worn the earrings already. I'm saving the book for a day that's not too hot, so I can go out and lounge in my new hammock and read it outside. I figure that's really the way Tolkien should happen.  \0/

Howdy all! Great job everyone, this gallery looks wonderful and y'all are so talented!

I received from milkeway, and I'm so happy! Thank you so much! I'm so very glad that we got to swap together. I hope you enjoy what I sent your way!

Renly and Sansa peg people. They are adorable and so well done. Sansa and Renly are two of my favorite characters.

"So many vows...they make you swear and swear. Defend the king. Obey the king. Keep his secrets. Do his bidding. Your life for his. But obey your father. Love your sister. Protect the innocent. Defend the weak. Respect the gods. Obey the laws. It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or the other.

And our favorite: My very own House Sigil from a doodle I drew at work one night.  :  ) It's so great and I can't wait to put it up somewhere.

Wow! These crafts are all so awesome! I'm a little covetous of all the hoops, but the Smaug one my have stolen my heart.  :  ) I can't imagine doing that jacket, I would have been super nervous just to start it, but it looks great. The Witch King is adorable too, if Witch Kings can be adorable. I can't wait to see what else pops up.

I opened up my package at work yesterday, so it doesn't have the best lighting or camera because I just quick snapped with my phone. Sorry!

Here is a dwarven treasure box, Kili's runestone, and a Rohan banner/bookmark.

Thank you, ErinGoCraft, for swapping with me. And thank you, Wizards_Pupil for organizing!

I received from pearljam94 the other day, and the cookies are already gone.  :  )  There was yummy peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. I made my roommate taste test because there wasn't a note. She only pretended to die for a minute before she gobbled up the rest.

My partner sent me a very pretty mug rug, the first and hopefully not last that I will add to my collection, and a pair of beaded earrings. Thank you so much!
