3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Decoupaging / painting metal tin on: January 21, 2006 11:22:57 AM
Here's what I do.  First sand the tin with sand paper.  Sand in both directions (think tic tac toe board).  Then use Mod Poge to collage papers on and you can use hotglue for anything lumpy.  You can paint with acrylics around any areas that are still uncovered.  You can also use spray paints.  Mod Poge over the top of everything to seal it.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Crafts for Middle School Boys! on: January 21, 2006 11:17:04 AM
I'm a middle school ART teacher who runs a very self-directed Art class.  I want my students to make things they like, enjoy and will use.  I have tons of ideas for girly things, but fall short with my ideas for things to suggest to middle-school boys.  Can someone please offer some suggestions?  I'd ESPECIALLY appreciate pics or tuts that I can put on my interactive whiteboard in the classroom to energize their creative thoughts.

I like your CD A LOT!  I'm a middle school art teacher and this is something I could see my students going NUTS over!  I wonder if the CD would still work?  It's cool as just ART but I could see doing a digital project of some sort AND decorating the CD.  Thanks for sharing!
