1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Help! I need to find this fabric! on: March 20, 2006 05:25:58 PM
Hey guys, I'm hoping you all can help..

My mom is looking for a burgundy or mulberry fabric with medium to large black polka dots or thick stripes (dots similar to this: http://www.robertkaufman.com/assets/fabric/thumbs/ESK-5738-5.jpg the size of the large ones)

If anybody could help, I'd LOVE IT!

I've already checked Hancock Fabric (online and one store,) Joann's online store and, of course, Robert Kaufman's website. Any other suggestions?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Unicorn/Dragon/Castle Fantasy Pursetote! on: March 12, 2006 10:18:20 PM
I found this AWESOME fabric at Walmart sometime last summer, so my sister (LaLaFirefly) bought me two yards (as partial payment for cleaning her room - woot!) and I kept it in my cabinet and eventually forgot about it.. until I decided to clean my room. I created a pattern, which I later discover is a variant of the Jordy bag, and put myself to work. I actually bought the inside fabric after I got the outside, but I thought it would be wild and crazy, so I used it.

I hear this stuff is discontinued, too Sad
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Fleece Armwarmers! on: January 23, 2006 06:05:05 PM
I always wanted a pair of green and black armwarmers, but I could never find them anywhere.. so I made them myself!

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My version of the Old Navy messenger! on: January 23, 2006 04:45:52 PM
Alright, so I made a pattern for the first time in my life! It was super easy to think up and assemble, too. I don't have any straps on it as of right now (I haven't bought any yet), so here's my strapless version of the "Old Navy Messenger Bag" I actually own two of these bags! I love them so much but I wanted to make a personal bag for me. I've been told that the fabric looks very "diaperbag-esque" -- oops! It's flannel outside and cotton inside and took maybe a little more than a 1/2 yard each!

I hope you guys like it Smiley

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / TUG on: September 10, 2005 09:35:47 AM
This is my good friend's Harry Potter character, TUG. TUG stands for Trojan Unicorn Girl. She's got a really great storyline going on with her characters -- she's super talented.
If any of you guys want to stop by and check her out, she's at: spinelicker.deviantart.com

8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / My Personal Character swap on: August 20, 2005 03:01:56 PM
Being internet geeks, i'm sure a few of us have personal characters, right? Ones we roleplay, ones we draw just for fun, ones to "represent us"...

I think it would be fun if we could make a "personal character" swap. Sculptures, art, iron ons, knitting. What do you guys say?

This is what I do when I get bored or I'm waiting for someone to respond on Craftster. I doodle on MS Paint!
