I adore this! I hope it stays in the family a long time. It's beautiful and the colours are amazing.
Tell your kitty it isn't nice to talk back and he shouldn't be playing with scissors, he has no thumb!
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Loom knit wingspan (first try) on: April 07, 2014 02:05:47 AM
Ignore the crappiness of my pics, my good cameras battery is dead Sad so I had to use my phone.
This would have taken me 2 or 3 days if I sat down and just DID it, but I had so many projects going, I pushed it aside. I did the final 5 "wings" in a day because I was anxious and wanted it off my loom for a bigger project. I used the Cindwood 90 peg small afghan loom. I loooove that loom. The pinks are pinker, and the blue has a hint of sparkly green in it you can't see in the pics. This is my first attempt at a wingspan, and I also have the lace pattern, from The Invisible Loom (I love that site, and have bought and downloaded most of their ebooks) Soooo here you go!

It is very soft, I used JC Brett's marble yarn.. Its also machine safe!

Those look sooo warm. I love the colours, your mom will adore them! Sock knitting ROCKS!
I think I need to make some for myself, too!

I spent a while on this! I did it on a 60 peg loom and I loooove it. I got the pattern from The Invisible Loom. I worked on it off and on for 3 weeks. I used the Martha Steward Loom kit and made my own loom for it.
The first pic sucks, but my decent cameras batteries went dead. Sad
