41  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anyone Got Ideas on Making a Bubble Skirt? on: September 21, 2005 02:20:20 AM
Wink well the title says it all, I would like to find a basic tutorial or pattern of a bubble skirt,
The poofy part of it just gets me stumped   Huh
at first I thought you put elastic around the hem of a circle skirt and then kind of inverted it but then that sounded a litttle off  Grin

any help would be appreciated !

44  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My First Skirt! ^_^ (slightly picture heavy) on: August 07, 2005 03:37:56 AM
W00tage! My first topic and first skirt!

I used a tutorial off someone off this forum (sorry, I'll credit ya when I can find the link  Wink)
to make the waistband I used an old boob tube i had, and the flippy, pleated part is a scarf I got while thrift/op-shop-hoppinh  Cheesy

some of these are a bit blurry

meh, I was bored so I decided to vector myself  Grin

It was kinda dificult figuring out how to sow the non-stretchy scarf onto the stretchy waistband, but in the end I used push buttons to secure part of one side so that I could put it on and off
