1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / cross stitching: changing colors vs filling in on: May 05, 2013 09:37:26 AM
I'm cross stitching a picture that has multiple colors. This is the first time I cross stitched something that isn't in black and white.

Should I do color changes with the row I'm working on or would it be best to do all the black and go back and fill in the colors?
Would it make a difference if I did the black outline first and then went back and colored it?

3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / question about selling needle work on: April 06, 2013 08:15:45 PM
So, I've only done some embroidery work a handful of times, but in the past I've been asked to sell some of my crafts.

I was wondering, when embroidering with a hoop, do people customarily sell with or without the hoop? XD

By the way, I'm not sure of this question goes here or some other part of Craftster. My apologies if it goes somewhere else
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pokeball barrettes~! on: April 06, 2013 03:52:02 PM
I've managed to combine my love for bows, pokemon, and hair accessories!!! I bought a ton of barrettes ages ago and could not think of anything to do with them for the life of me. These are super easy and quick to make so I crocheted a bunch more on a rainy day. I've worn it just about every day and I absolutely had to show them off~! I just might have to make the other types of balls too. Smiley

Too cute. I've never made slippers before, but I've been wanting to for a long time. I love the colors by the way. Tongue

These are actually pretty cute. I never thought of crocheting something like this. I'm tempted now. Smiley

I just might be able to rid myself of this awkward purple yarn I haven't been able to use. ^^

These are awesome. I made my own tree trunks (my own pattern... but yours is much cuter) a while ago.

I've been thinking about making LSP for ages now. XD
