1  Re: FaB of Holiday Gifts Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by urnokey2myhart on: December 05, 2009 04:48:22 PM
Picture Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I opened the box and found it filled to the brim with wrapped presents:

There was so much that after I couldn't even get it all back in the box:

These smell fantastic:

And so do these lavender eye and neck pillows : D My entire apartment has smelled like lavender since I got the package:

Hand made soaps and coin purses:

First few journals and notebooks:

A bunch more with some kitchen towels:

A close up:

Probably my favorite:

Plus some Lavender sugar scrub, with loose lavender and cups to make more. An awesome denim apron and another journal which I had to hide from my roommate since it'll be presents for her.

Thank You sooooooooooooooooo much Princess! I hope you like my package even half as much as I loved yours! I literally could smell the lavender before I even opened the box! You really did such a good job on everything. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect!

3  Office Scrap paper+ tape + tons of boredum = Cute Recycled Pen holder [UPDATE] in Completed Projects by urnokey2myhart on: August 06, 2009 12:30:34 PM
So I work in a call center, and sometimes call volume is dead and it gets very boring. I also work in an office where being "green" hasn't really hit the mentality of co-workers. That being said, one night I was looking at the huge pile of scrap paper that I refused to throw out and decided to do something with it.

And Side View:

It's not super big, but big enough and surprisingly very sturdy. I think next I'm gunna upgrade to a paper basket or something : D

I got bored again... here's my pencil case REVAMPED : D

And a close up:

Thanks for lookin ; )

4  Wine Bottle lamp in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by urnokey2myhart on: May 14, 2008 11:36:06 AM
If your a wine-o like me, this is a great project for left over bottles that you want to keep, because, well they're pretty : ) I got the idea from my supervisor at work, whom I strive to be as crafty as!

Empty wine bottle (great excuse for an improptu wine party)
10 stand white christmas type lights
decoration (i used some simple plastic grapes I got at the Dollar Tree 4 for a dollar and some gold wire)
x-acto knife
hot glue

Place lights inside bottle, you may want to use a pen to help push the lights down to the bottom of the bottle.

Take decorations and if you can bend them so the can sit on the top of the bottle opening and hot glue in place

Take bottle cork and cut down the bottom a little, you want to create room so that when you place it back on the bottle there is room for the decorations and the crod for the lights.

Place cork on top and plug in! How easy!

and lit up

closer look:

pretty lable : )

5  Gay Marriage cake! in Dessert by urnokey2myhart on: May 14, 2008 11:10:43 AM
I'm the president of the Pride Alliance at my school (a group geared towards gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered issues) and we commonly participate in school activities. About a month or so ago we had the task of decorating a cake with only the time span of a half an hour, limited skills and lots of pressure. We were, however, allowed to bring whatever we wanted as long as it was edible. We decided to make a same-sex marriage cake!!!! yay

Supplies used:
Peeps with all of their marshmallow goodness*
gummy letters
candy hearts
a ton of frosting

*specifially the bunny peeps, we flipped them upside down so that the ears became the legs of our people....

These are our best man/woman:

The lesbian brides:

Gay grooms:

And the whole thing together!

9  broken hearted change purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by urnokey2myhart on: July 24, 2005 06:45:52 PM
so i had an old pair of cordoroy pants that i couldnt part with and some really pretty hot pink silkish material that i found on the grass at school, and so i decided to make a change purse out of it all...

First I took the zipper out of the pants, and used that to measure what the length of the purse should be, from there i just free handed the shape of it, traced that on pink fabric and cut all four pieces

then i cut out a heart of the same pink fabric, and cut zig zag lines to make it broken ( i didnt cut all the way down as u can see) and stitched that on with bright green thread, cause pink and green are the best color combo's ever. Then i hand stiched it all together....the zipper was the hardest part, but i made it work out and i love the results....

here's the front of it

and the inside : )

the funny thing is that the zipper has old navy ingraved on it since thats where the pants were from, so now everyone thinks i bought it from there, silly people
