It would be fun to make a whole set of outdated technology coasters!

That's an awesome idea! Maybe I can figure out how to do a Commodore 64...

I recently discovered Perler beads and am having a blast with them! I wanted to do the 5.25" floppy but they have no interesting features. Oops, probably giving away my age here!  Cheesy  So here is my 3.5" floppy disk coaster for my desk at work:

I saw the one on Big Bang Theory and just HAD to make one. It's sitting in my office, which is covered in nerd stuff! I'm in IT, so if the nerd fits  Grin

Many thanks to Megan at www.PolishTheStars.com for the layout of colors. I wanted it to be accurate and I didn't want to have to buy a cube.

5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Eruptor, a Skylander! on: March 27, 2013 08:14:26 AM
 Whatever a Skylander is!  Cheesy

I just finished this for my step-granddaughter for her Easter basket. I didn't use a pattern, so I had a few problems here and there, but I'm happy with how it came out.

Oh, I MUST make this for my husband! Since he doesn't drink from cans usually I think I will alter it to fit over a large coffee cup. Too funny!

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Foundation Chain Consistency on: March 27, 2013 07:28:52 AM
Have you ever tried not using a chain for the foundation? I found this tutorial (http://www.futuregirl.com/craft_blog/2009/3/tutorial-foundation-single-crochet.aspx) and I think it's a great technique.

If I do use a chain, I get better results by going into the back loop.
