1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Dolls made from a Mimi Kirchner pattern. Alice in Wonderland Collection on: April 02, 2013 09:20:18 AM
I am new to doll making, these are my first three dolls ever made. I usually make sock monkeys, but I have found these to be so much more fun.

Take a look at the attached FLICKR link, and let me know what you think about my dolls. Opinions are always welcomed!

Thanks for taking a look!  Grin

2  California / California: South / San Fernando Valley- In desperate need of a craft group :) on: March 26, 2013 04:20:33 PM
Hello All!

I truly believe the the San Fernando Valley needs a craft/collaboration group of some sort. With all the street art, BLVDS, Hollywood, and so many factors that make the SFV the heart of creative central, I don't know why there isn't one already!   Huh

That being said, anyone interested in, starting up/being in a craft group where we can share ideas, craft together AND collaborate on projects. I know for myself, I do not have many crafty friends that share the likemindedness as myself, so when it comes to swapping items, collaborating on a project or simply getting ideas to bounce off of, i definitely lack and would love to have more of..

I know I am rambling a bit, hehe, but if this is something you are interested in, let me know. Maybe there is something out there already and I just need to find it (you) Smiley

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Alice in Wonderland Felt Doll on: March 26, 2013 12:43:50 PM
Hello Everyone, I am new to posting to Craftster so I am kinda limiting on posting photos of my very own doll I made. However, until I can post pictures, I would at least like to share some goodies.

I made my Alice in Wonderland (Alice) felt doll out of the pattern included in the link below. It only took me about 11 hours total to complete (two 5.5 hour sessions) It was so fun to make I couldn't stop making it. hehe..

I want to give credit to the owner of the pattern, Mimi Kirchner. If you are new to making dolls, this pattern is a great beginner pattern. I will post pics soon. Enjoy Smiley
